Distance from Swan to BC?

My family is staying at the BC during our next trip, but need to book another hotel room the night before our DCL package starts. The BC is pretty pricey for one night. The Swan seems to have great deals, and offers rooms with two queen beds. For those of you who have walked from the Swan to the BC- would it be too inconvenient to carry luggage by foot to the BC? How long does it take to walk to BC from the Swan? I’m just trying to figure out if it would be worth the effort or if we should get an airport hotel the night before our package starts?? Hi Tlynk,

Depends on how heavy the bags are! The walk from the Swan to the Beach Club is only 1/4 to 1/2 of a mile. You certainly could do it if you have rolling bags.

I'm not sure about this---and I'm pretty sure someone will know and post here--but I think they can transport the bags for you from one resort to another, even if one of the resorts is the Swan/Dolphin. Anyone else?

Hmmm, how many bags? Do they roll? That is a good question. Personally, I think it's a short walk, maybe 10 minutes from lobby to lobby, but if I were carrying bags not sure I would do it. It seems almost silly to take a cab for such a short distance but that is probably what I would do!

I just mentioned in another thread that as of February 2005 there was no luggage transfer between Disney hotels and S/D. Maybe it's changed cos it can turn on a dime at Disney but I had to take a cab between WL and the Dolphin. It was easy and well worth it.
