I made breakfast reservations for Boma at AK Lodge. Will we be able to walk to the AK park or will we need some kind of transportation? Thanks!

There is no pedestrian walkway between the resort and park. It's very easy to take the bus though. As you exit the lobby, walk to your left and you'll see the bus stop.:)

ETA: Oops, meant to say left!

Ok, thanks. On the map it looks like it's no more than a mile. That's why I was wondering if walking is doable.

It isn't very far and it has always mystified me as to why Disney did not, in fact, build a walkway from AKL to AK. But, they didn't, so that Disney transportation or a car will be required to get from Boma to AK.

Apparently it had to do with open space, wetlands and other zoning restrictions that did not allow them to take away more open land for development. And yes, a sidewalk is considered development for land use regulation purposes.

You will need to take the bus, taxi, or other behicle.

And depending on the time of your reservation, you may want to take a Taxi to get there on time, unless you have your own car.

Depending on where you are staying, if you take a bus to the AK, you'd have to then take another bus to go to the resort and I'm not sure how well they do "pick up" in the AM. Usually they are dropping off.

After breakfast (if you took a taxi), you can catch the buses from AKL to whatever park you wish to go.

We have ADR for 5:40pm so we are planning to head over after the park closes at 5pm. Will the buses be packed? Will we be able to make our res?

And my concern is going back to Pop Century after dinner at Boma ... our ADR is at 6:00 pm and AK closes at 5:00 pm ... what would be the best and quickest bus to take?

Actually when you walk out of the lobby you go to your left for the buses but you'll figure that out yourself I am sure!

And, unless you're going at absolute peak times there rarely is a mad rush when AK closes. Often people leave by mid-afternoon since they have "done" the park by then and there's no late parade or fireworks to keep people late. The ride itself from the park to the resort is maybe 5-10 minutes, but they stop at Kidani first so I would guess it might be 15 minutes door to door? (Obviously depending on if there's a scooter or something)

Bon Appetit!

After dinner, you have a couple of choices:
1) take a bus to whatever park is open late/has EMH and then take the bus back to Pop Century;
2) take a bus to DTD and then take the bus back to Pop (probably the longest bus ride, though, since DTD buses are not as frequent as park buses);
3) take a cab from AKL to Pop Century (shouldn't be more than $15).

For the Contemporary, you might just want to take a bus back to MK and walk over from there. Otherwise, grab the Monorail back to CR. I am just assuming that you dinner isn't too late for a bus back to MK to work.

There is no bus to the Magic Kingdom from the Contemporary. Fastest way is taking the pedestrian walkway back to the Magic Kingdom, following the fence line over to the left back to the bus depot. Do not try to cross over the bus depot lot. The walkway curves over just fine. You could also take the resort monorail, but it makes 3 stops before it stops at the Magic Kingdom.
