I want to buy Belle and Cinderella dresses for my small 3 years old.
She is 38 " now and very skinny.
She falls in between sizing on Disney sizing chart, so I would like help on princess dresses sizing. Do they run on the small or big size? Should I buy 2/3 or 4?

Belle dress is full length dress and I am afraid size 4 could drag the floor and size 2/3 could be tight at the chest area.

Based on how they fit my 6.5 year old, I would say the 2/3 - my daughter STILL can't wear the bigger size. My 2.5 year old would fit the 2/3, but she has a costume. One thought - order both and then return the one that doesn't fit to the store - I am assuming of course you have a store near you - that being said, the 2/3 for sure! GL!

I purchased the 5/6 Aurora dress for my 41" 3 year old and am happy with the size. It drags a little but I plan on shortening the straps about an inch and it will be perfect plus she'll be able to enjoy it longer. I would vote 4.

I ordered my daughter a 4 in the Rupunzel Dress and she wears 4s and 5ts and it was snug in the chest and arms but to her toes

Okay, my DD4 is 40 inches and skinny. Her Disneystore Belle dress size 4, I did have to take in the back of chest area slightly with a pink rose hair clip but it was not as big as non Disney store Princess dresses (where I had to sew them completely in order to fit my skinny girl) and I can see a photo of her standing up and full view of shoes when walking so at 38 inches yours will not trip on dress. Get a 4. She can use it longer.

I bought my daughter a Belle dress and a Cinderella dress from the Disney Store this summer when they were on sale. She is 4 and weighs 31 lbs and is 40.5-41 inches tall. She's long and skinny. I bought the dresses in a size 4 and they are just right in length (right at or slightly above her ankle) but a little loose in the bodice but not so loose that I had to use a clip. I would buy the size 4 so she could use it longer.

JMHO _
But you can also check Etsy.com for something more custom fit....If you purchase from the Disney store go with the 4... she will grow into it.. I always go larger so they can play in it longer.

I would go bigger too, go with the 4. She can wear it longer and you can put a t-shirt under it on a cooler day.

I just came back. My 3y old is 41" and 36 lbs. Tall and skinny. She normally wears a 4T for length, but they are usually loose. We got the 4T dress (Tiana) it was a little loose in the chest area and the straps were too long, but I was afraid the 3T would be tight. The did a neat little thing where the tightened up the straps using clear rubber bands and wrapped them in a way that they looked like tiny bows on her shoulders.
