The Boardwalk has a bar just off the lobby which looks nice.

Some people who thought they could never stay anywhere except a monorail resort will really like the Epcot resort area.

Your trip is really close. I hope you have a great time.

We love the Bell Vue Lounge. It has the nicest atmosphere. It's worth a stroll over to BWI from YC.

We check into YC TOMORROW!!! Very excited! I can't remember if it's been asked or noted somewhere as I'm in the middle of packing panic--does Hurricane Hannah's (or any other bar at BC/YC have TVs? And if so is it likely they'll have the Bama/LSU on? Apparently my husband will just die if he can't watch it. I know he can go over to ESPN club but since we'll be at the pool all day (assuming the weather cooperates anyway) it would be nice if he could just stay nearby. TIA!

We do similar. I like to book my fp+ for the evenings.

My family prefers mono resorts so I am excited to try bwi and bc this coming week.

My husband likes a scotch in the evening. We have tried the bar next to Yachtsman are any of the others as nice? We usually go to the tambu lounge(poly) or Mizners(gf).

I hope you'll love BC. Be sure to request full balcony, and if you see my fav greeter, Teena, give her a hug for me . There is a nice looking bar past Cape May but I've never checked it out. We love Crews Cup, the food too!

I am so sorry to hear about what you experienced on your trip. I am very disappointed about your description of the lack of consideration and accommodation for your blind mother. If you have not yet done so, I recommend that you share what you have written here with the management of the Beach Club and with Disney Guest Communications.

As a Follow up to an earlier discussion- am here now- magic band was not scannedto get into storm along bay- I was wearing it and they asked me where I was staying I said the villas and they let me in- it did not look like they had any scanners - I did have my DVC tag on my band

We were scanned on Monday but the scanner was down on Tuesday.

Now for the Good, the bad, and the ugly.....

Good...love the new rooms at the BC. We had a really large room and the only one left without a connecting door. All the CM's there were wonderful. Nice to see Van again!

Bad...we paid for garden/woods view. Got first floor (requested upper floor and large balcony) and the view was glass, lattice, and people eating. No other rooms without connecting door available but we were compensated.

Very Ugly....witnessed a verbal fight on the YC porch/DSA. Guy smoking a cigar and it upset some people. Cigar smoke is very heavy and probably should not be smoked around a lot of people. DH told a CM standing outside but the guy did nothing to stop the altercation. It really is a bad place for a DSA...IMHO.

Somewhat ugly.....we usually go to F&W in Nov. We are from FL and have not seen record breaking temps for this time of year in Orlando. Very hot and not getting cooler any time soon.

I have another question. We plan to go to MK twice. Should we come back for a midday break to swim or is it to much of hassle or take to long with the transportation? We usually just buy the base ticket and return to MK in the evening after taking a break.
Should we just plan something around the MK area to take a break from the heat and to rest?

I have not been on here for ages!! Happy to say I just booked our anniversary trip for Feb. 17th to the 24th!! Our anniversary is the 18th and we will be celebrating 44 years of marriage. I am so excited to be staying at the Beach Club again and look forward to hugging my good friend, Teena!!
