Resort Thread Disney's YACHT & BEACH CLUB Resorts

I cancelled our cabana rental for Saturday because the high is only predicted to be 70.
Glad you are enjoying your visit at the YC. The pool is not going to be optimal this weekend. The Easter eggs sound like a great surprise for this year.

We are in for a cool weekend since a cool front is moving in tonight. Lows will be 53 tomorrow and a high of 70 Saturday and low of 55 Saturday night. Note in Florida the low is just before sunrise.

Dave

Not good for the pool, but WOW - enjoy the fantastic park weather!!!

Yep, it is perfect for the parks! And being from Buffalo, pretty much perfect weather for anything, lol. DDIL got us boarding group 28! We already did MMRR (AMAZING) & they’re in quick 20 minute line for Slinky Dog. And the park isn’t even open yet! 😁

However mousekeeping may change by June so stay tuned.

Dave
I hope it does change! We spent a couple days at the Hilton in Pensacola Beach. Housekeeping was missed by my family. We have stayed several places since Covid started. But no housekeeping on a beach vacation is not the best situation. Thank you for the hope of housekeeping, Dave.

REALLY?!?!? I didn't know you could book more than one. I ended up finding a discounted garden view room at the YC for my inlaws so they are all set but I'm dying to do a weekend trip in late April/early May. I may have to poke around and see what is still available.
I booked a split stay in June which is actually two bookings. Both were booked with the same PIN.

I called to book a package for our trip in June. While I was on the phone the lady told me I had a pin on my account, I used it to book a room for me and another for my parents. I actually called my mom and got us on a conference call and she was able to use her own CC with my pin. So, I know 2 rooms are possible.

Just wanted to say we moved resorts today. After some thought, we’ve made the decision to stay at CBR instead of BCV in Sept 2021. Please remove us from the “Be Our Guest”. Maybe one day in the future we can do a deluxe.

Checked in today after a night at BLT. Seeing the Easter eggs in the lobby was a nice surprise, I didn’t think they were doing any this year. Glad @trishadono posted pictures, mine kept coming up sideways. 🙄 Didnt see any eggs at CR, will try to see if Beach Club & BWI have any.

We’re missing club level but at least we got our favorite view looking out at the lighthouse right over the back entrance. I cancelled our cabana rental for Saturday because the high is only predicted to be 70. Even being from Western NY, 70 is not high enough for us to spend the day at the pool. After trying to get thru to the enchanting extras line on the phone for most of the afternoon, I had to get the front desk to cancel it for me. Called about 6 times over an hour with call not even getting thru, then spent 35 minutes on hold without talking to anyone. Did I mention I‘m missing club level? :rotfl2:
I really like the new lobby colors & decor. I sat in the lobby for a bit waiting for my to go order from Ale & Compass & the furniture is a lot more comfortable than the old stuff was.

Tomorrow is DS’s birthday, headed to Studios. 🤞🏻For ROTR for him. Looking forward to riding MMRR for the first time.
If iphone hold sideways with home button on right. Yet I keep forgetting lol. Someone posted that tip it usually works.

Hey everyone, BC newbie here! I just booked our first trip back to WDW since 2014! We'll be staying at BC in a standard view room June 19-27. We're surprising our girls with this trip, especially the oldest as she missed out on so much in 2020. I'm a total over planner, you should see my spreadsheets from our 2014 trip. But I'm trying to leave this trip much more relaxed.

Anyway, my first of many questions and also to hop on the Cabana theme in recent posts......We are thinking of doing a cabana rental at Stormalong mid-way through the trip. I read that currently they are renting for the full day, to 7pm or something like that. If we wanted to use the cabana say from 10-1 or whatever, then go to Epcot for a couple of hours, could we return to the cabana until our rental time is up? Or if the daughter's wanted to stay at the cabana (oldest is 19) could they do so while DH and I go have a nice meal?

Yes to both questions. If you were leaving and planning on coming back, I’d just make sure the cabana host knew. Have a great trip!

Agree with PP’s advice. The time you spend there is totally up to you. Just let them know so they don’t pack up/close up everything if you leave for awhile, as noted above.

And yes, cabanas end at 7pm.

Have fun!

Just upgraded my original reservation from Cbr to Yacht Club as a surprise for a quick "sisters" getaway (5/14-5/18).
First time staying at Yacht Club and under the room discount there really wasn't much available. I'm booked in a garden/woods view and put in a room request through touring plans but which area is best to request?
I didn't put in any room requests through mde because it only offers ground floor of king bed. Prefer to have two queen sized beds since I'm traveling with my sister and not my husband lol

:welcome: back!

I'll add your trip to the Be Our Guest list on Page 1, Post 15.

As a veteran of girls-only trips, I know how much fun they can be! How are you breaking the news about the change in resort?

:cheer2:

We were able to book a cabana Saturday 4/10 with a DVC discount a few weeks ago. We were inside the 60 days. We had tried to book 4/11 but that day was unavailable.

interesting enough, during our last trip, which was a 30 anniversary trip last October, none of the cabanas were booked on a Friday and one of the cast members offered one to us as a lot of pixie dust on our arrival day. Apparently there was a glitch in the system as we heard people had tried to book but were told they were unavailable so definitely check when you are on site as well.

Someone else asked about when DVC rooms were generally available. We arrived 9 am on our aforementioned trip. We did have a room request for a quiet pool view. Our room was not available until 6 pm...we had dinner reservations at B&C at 6:15 so the timing was very awkward for us. We didn’t get settled in our room until 8:30 and had dinner at B&C in our swimsuits and cover ups. YMMV especially if you don’t put in room requests but we thought 6pm was a little extreme. We were grateful we had the cabana to hang out in for the day.

Thanks for sharing your experiences- very helpful info!

::yes::

How does SAB access work for a baby? My daughter is 1- does she need to wear a magicband?

Do you have an upcoming stay at the resort?

:thumbsup2

Good morning everyone.

Booked the YC May 5-10. After cancelling three trips last year it looks like this one is a go!! :jumping1:

Well, :welcome: back!!!

I'll add you to the list!

:woohoo:

Heading to BCV next week (woohoo) for our first WDW visit ever. As a coffee lover, I am making my caffiene plans. Do the in room coffee makers take pods or can you use your own ground coffee?

Sorry I am a little late to :welcome: you since you have already left for the trip.

Especially since you are a fellow caffeine aficionado - Finding out what kind of coffee maker at the Beach Club was my very first post to this forum.

Hope your trip has been great!

Hey everyone it’s been way too long that we have planned a stay at YC! So the family had a trip planned for this Spring Break (April9-17) but hubby found out he would still need to come home and quarantine even being fully vaccinated so the trip is now my two daughters, myself and my bestie!!! So excited for a girls trip!
Here’s my question... I vaguely remember off menu drinks at HH. Would anyone be willing to share their favorite drinks from HH? Bonus points for pics!
Thanks in advance! Gretchen

If staying in the Villas standard , what is best location or request to make? Don’t want too much walking from food or SAB.

Close to the elevator. I’ll also add that BCV is not a big resort so you’re never really that far from anything regardless of where you are. I assume by standard that you mean studio?

Sorry I didn’t save it, but I thought I saw someone post the current BCV room service menu. Does anyone have the current menu?
