Resort Thread Disney's YACHT & BEACH CLUB Resorts

For those of you talking about room availability
I've also noticed in the past that rooms become unavailable right before Disney is ready to roll out their next promotion? I guess we'll wait and see :)
I completely understand the question ! It's odd to see the hotel appear "booked" around this time. I'm with you Ocalla -It's just an observation!!!!
You guessed right! Disney released a sale this morning with VERY limited availability if anyone needs to jump on it.

Fall Discounts are out...check out SPECIAL OFFERS on the Disney site. Lot's of offers...no availability for my dates! I sent a note to my TA with a list of different resort options, so maybe she can snag at least one of them...Hope we can stay at BC!
Ha! You posted this while I was digging through past posts to see who predicted the discount... ;)

Hi, I changed from standard view to lagoon/pool view at the Beach club with the new fall offer. Only 15% off, Ugh... Now I'm kicking myself that I didn't stick with the standard view because I had to pay $195 more for the sale priced lagoon/pool view. I sort of panicked on the phone. I can't go back now, because when I originally booked it was last year ticket prices and any rebooking will be this years park ticket prices. Oh well, hopefully we will enjoy the view.

Can I please be added to Be Our Guest List at the Beach Club for 11/29-12/4/15? This is our families first trip to Disney World!

Seems like you will be "ducking" the Thanksgiving crowds. Hope that you ENJOY your trip!Holiday decorations are AMAZING! :cheer2:Went last year first week of Dec and the beautiful decorations got us in the HOLIDAY SPIRIT! Highlights were Osbourne Lights at HS and our absolute fav was Candlelight Processional; BEAUTIFUL show; our narrator was Levar Burton(Reading Rainbow for those you don't know him)!:santa: If you haven't already made an ADR for either lunch or dinner for a Candlelight Processional Package, consider it! LOVED our preferred seating; dead center right up front; we had a dinner package at Chef de France and it was delicious!::yes::Epcot Candlelight Processional Show December 8, 2014.jpeg

Starting to plan a Disneymoon for early July 2016. Was thinking of going to the Beach Club Villas, but will most likely be picking a standard Beach Club room since I'll be guaranteed a renovated room.

I'm hoping to book soon and then apply a discount when they get announced around March. Does anyone have any experience in doing this and how successful I might be?

I'm going to do online checkin for our upcoming stay...we have a standard view booked. If I request upper floor will that be more likely a refurbished room? I am thinking we should get a day bed with our family of 5, but should I request it at checkin too??

Hey sorry I can't be of more help but I just wanted to say we are both kind of in the same boat! I'm currently planning my honeymoon for April 2016. Our number one choice is the beach club villas but are second guessing that now due to how many people say they really need a refurb and now will not be getting one until who knows when. We also are hoping to apply a spring discount once they come out at the end of December.

The spring discount would obviously be great to discount normal rooms but it would bring a one bedroom beach club villa into our price range. We will have to make a decision come December on the BCV if it's still available at a discount.

I guess my advice would be to book something as soon as you can but book something you know you would be happy having with or without a discount. I'm not sure if you don't have must leeway with when your honeymoon. I know my fiancee and I don't have any leeway. So just make sure you get something booked so you know you have something.

Well, folks, it looks like my dream of Beach Club for our 40th Anniversary trip has been altered...For the same cost for us to stay at BC GV, we are switching to Club Level at Boardwalk. I know, I know, I'm a traitor!!! But we've never stayed Club Level, and there was no availability at BC for any of the discounts! So, this will give us a chance to try another resort, but you can bet we'll be back in the future!! And I'm hoping that we NEVER have to look at that Clown pool while we are there!

Hope everyone has a wonderful upcoming trip! It has been really fun chatting with all of you, and I hope to join in on future discussions!:)

Just finalized the our annual Halloween/F&W trip. 10/30-11/2 BCV Can't wait to come back home. Hope the construction isn't too bad.

My daughter and I are staying at the Beach Club Oct 9-13. DD has a short break from college so it really is the only time we can go. I was able to save $214 today with the new promotion and that was going from a standard room to a garden view. Not a whole lot but better than a sharp stick in the eye!

That is what we have done a few times. I book what I want and then call to apply a discount code. Discounted rooms are limited, though, and there is no guarantee that there will be availability in the category I want. That being said, it's always worked out - either applying to the same room type or by getting a better room category for less than the original price. Good luck!

Do you recommend getting a room only before waiting for the discount or getting a package and then applying the discount to that?

This is actually a good question that I should have asked as well. We currently have our room booked and tickets to the parks. So our reservation is a package. Can any Disney pros comment on this? Since having tickets makes your reservation a package, does that not let you apply let's say a spring room only discount when it comes out?

If you are looking for a room only book that. If you are looking for a package with tickets book that. When the room discounts come out you can then apply them to the package.

Not sure it works like that anymore...when I tried to apply the discount to my current reservation today, my TA said that it showed NO AVAILABILITY. There has to be availability now, almost as if you are booking a new reservation, rather than just being able to apply a discount to a current reservation. I think this is a new policy that just started up with the Free Dining Special Offer this past April. If I'm not correct, I'm sure one of our resident TA's can clarify.

I have always waited on booking my room until AFTER discounts are released. My theory is that if a Resort Has Filled Rooms than WHY would they need to discount them? They discount the resorts that have a lot of availability.........My theory could be Full of CRAP, but hey in my little mind that is what works!

Actually, I think it makes a lot of sense. :thumbsup2 If a resort is full, or almost full, why would they include it in the discount?
