PS. TONGA TOAST is available every morning at the Polynesian Quick serve restaurant called Captain Cooks. It's located on the ground floor of the main house where the check in desk and restaurants are located. If you were going to the MK you could get up super early and cab it over to Captain Cooks for some early morning Tonga Toast, then hit rope drop at the MK.

PSS, sorry(not sorry) for all the YELLING!!!!

PSSSSSS , Scott! We are going to arrange to have you, JnJ Pants and the other people that are narrowly missing our trip dates locked in the Fantasy Suite until our arrival!
Robyn & I can nab them :ssst: she arrives on 20th, and I arrive on 22nd lol!

Happy Friday!

It's a good day! Our trip is paid in full:dance3:

Quick question....this has probably been asked a hundred times, but I'm gonna ask again. If we have a standard view room at the YC, what area should we request? We are going for a long weekend (Labor Day) which is usually a slow time. I'm hoping not to be at the end of one of those long halls. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated..

Thanks!!!!
Heather, we had a standard view near lobby elevator. It was over the front Portico and had a huge balcony shared by 4 rooms. But aside from a couple of times I was the only one using it. Ours was the end room To the right if looking out from room. It was great for a standard view. And I liked watching the comings & goings looking down. Straight ahead all you see are trees.
First room was prob the worst room in YC over garbage dump down a long hall. So after walking in, I walked right back out & down to desk to ask to be moved.

i have a one bed suite with concierge booked can you tell me if these suites have full balconies please and also what floor is concierge on?

The one bedroom suites are on the first, second, third and fourth floors. The regular concierge rooms and the lounge is on the fifth floor.

LIVE REPORT!

Today was our Epcot day. It wasn't too terribly busy. We enjoyed lunch at Sunshine Seasons. My daughter and husband inhaled their salmon. Literally nothing was left on their plate! Our youngest daughter had a Cesar salad (delicious!) and I ordered the fish tacos. Everything was delicious! In Dee's honor I ordered the strawberry shortcake. It was fantastic! So light and tasty! My husband and I also shared a Grey Goose Slushie and our first ever Habbibi Daquiri. They were both gone quickly. We loved them both! Karmel Kuchen (I'm sure I butchered that name) was where we stopped for a snack. Seriously, this place is one of the best uses of a snack credit.

The appetizers in the CL lounge were ok tonight. Chicken on a stick, seared tuna and a funky potato pea fried thing with mango chutney salsa. Not the best options we've seen. No one spit them out, though. We will be getting dinner from the Marketplace tonight. We will also be buying grab and go sandwiches for lunch tomorrow. My husband is taking the kids to Cocoa Beach while I tour the Disney Fantasy. The tour is for travel agents only. I'm so excited!!!!!! I've never been on a cruise ship before.

I know someone had a request to look for something at the Marketplace. I'll search for who and what it is and I'll get back to you!

My Longboard beer is getting low so I need to run down before the lounge closes to get more!

Have a Magical evening!

oh @catho72 - have fun! And not to hijack this board but I hope you post your impressions somewhere of the Fantasy-Looking at a big family cruise 2017 (I want Holiday cruise) and trying to decide between RCL and DCL:)

You will love, love, love the Fantasy. It is a beautiful ship! We are sailing on it again in November and can't wait. Have fun!

Many of us are friends! I live about 20 min from Dee, have met Teena many times, and last year met (oh God, I hope I don't forget anyone...) DisneyMomx7, TaraK, YCFan, NinjaMom, MommyRosa, JanetMom, HockeyMomR, and Couchy. They are all delightful, but NinjaMom pays me on an hourly rate to tell you that she was the youngest, funniest, tallest, wealthiest, sexiest, most intelligent, best dancer, and best all around person. You can take from that what you will. :groom:

By the Hour!! NOPE! It was supposed to be by the adjective. I'll have to keep my eye on you New England Types...

PS Good luck with your Dad. Everyone is correct when they say that he will be feeling way better after the surgery. It's just getting through the surgery and the recovery that will be an effort. Keep reminding him that he will feel younger, look younger and if he's bald tell him all of his hair will grow back and then some. That last part is a lie but with the pain pills they will prescribe he is bound to believe it

The heck with the "When does Stormalong Bay close?" questions. When does it OPEN! I, I mean an inquiring mind would hate to be banging on the gates too early in the morning trying to get in.

Thanks, Ninja Mom! This thread has got the greatest people on it- supportive, informative, and fun. I'm glad to be here and am looking forward to staying at BC. Thanks again to all who make this thread wonderful.

@Scott MC -speedy recovery for your dad! I work with CAB patients a lot (clinical nutritionist) and the vast great 99% majority come through with no problems. A month after the surgery he will be amazed at how much better he feels. Hope your family has a fun trip!

Received email this morning saying our Magic Bands have been shipped. I immediately showed it to my husband & as I was squeeling with delight, he told me that this is the most excited he has seen me for one of our Disney trips. I said, "that's because we're staying at the YC!!!" I've always wanted to stay there, but we could never afford it, so have always stayed at moderates. Now thanks to our Magical agent, we will be there in a month! Beyond excited!!!

My first ever Deluxe stay was at the YC in 2010. The first time we could have ever afforded it (thanks to a 40% off discount!!) We have gone back several time to this same area (we now stay at BC, but still love YC also) Be careful....the BC/YC bug bites hard!!!!!

catho72: Can't wait to see pics and get your full report on the Fantasy!!!
