Thank you! That’s what I thought. I told my friends about my last minute trip & one of them said they thought the refurb was still going on.
My DH & I are very excited to stay here for the first time!

maybe they were talking about the outside work/painting that’s going on at BR. Not sure if that’s done not or yet but there was some kind of work being done on the exterior

They may have been talking about the exterior refurb that is posted on the Disney site as lasting until December. I haven’t read any updates in a while, but most people say that it didn’t bother them. They generally work from 9-5, doing painting and upkeep on the outside. I saw one post about workmen being on her balcony, but that was a couple of months ago. I wouldn’t worry about it. You may see a crane near the building or see some workers during the day, but it shouldn’t be a reason not to be excited about staying there.

We'll be staying Sept 2-8 for our 10th wedding anniversary. I promised DH that this will be a relaxing trip since our Disney vacations are usually parks every day from rope drop to close so we're only doing MNSSHP and an Epcot day for GotG and F&W. Then we'll see what we wanna do the rest of the time. I think we're finally going to make it to Jellyrolls. lol We haven't stayed at WL since 2015 so we're looking forward to going back! I really missed it when we stopped by to see the Christmas decorations a couple of years ago.

Yeah those walk in shower rooms have a crazy low price this summer, I thought I got a great price at $296 a night for a week this August.

Im going for a weekend in October with friends and was balking at the fact that cheapest Moderate for the timeframe was PO Riverside is more expensive per night than my WL reservation in August.

You still got a great price! I would've taken that too. Under $300 is a steal.

It's funny you say that because I was originally going to book POFQ because that's the resort we like to stay at when on a budget and at the time I think it was $262/night so it was a no brainer for $20/night more to pick our fave resort. Especially since we're wanting to do a more resort-only type trip. Now prices are down to $230/night, but I won't change. Kinda crazy that your POR reservation is more per night than your WL reservation.

Of course! I went through Disney. I booked this back in January when they were doing the stay longer and save more promo. In total after tax we're paying $1904 for 6 nights.

Do you recall what room number that was?

I believe it was either 5024 or 5026 & I have been corrected by wife that it was a nature view.
We were a few floors above the Artists point. Just around the corner from our room was the elevator that took you down to ground floor & just outside the quick service.
It was a great location for walking to the dock to catch the boats across to MK.

Currently at WL - the cranes are still outside BRV doing some refurb on the exterior. We saw them working Friday afternoon while we were at the pool area, but had I not actually seen the crane and the equipment, I never would have known - it's been very quiet and unobtrusive.

Glad they’re unobtrusive, we’re having our first ever stay at BR/WL in January, and we’re very excited to spend 2 weeks in this beautiful resort! If you look on the page where you make reservations on Disney’s website, it says December as the end date. I’m hoping for an early finish for our November trip, but I’m also not worried about it.

I will be staying at BRV with family next May. We have 3 rooms booked through DVC rental. We have never stayed in BRV before. We really wanted CCV. They were booked. I’m worried we will have a long walk to everything. What requests can I add for us to not be clear on the end? I want to keep requests as short as possible. I know I want to request us to be near each other. Should I also request near the lobby or someone familiar with BRV what would you request?

The lowest numbered rooms are closest to the main building. There is also a covered walkway between the Boulder Ridge lobby and the main building. Unless you end up at the very end, none of the rooms are that far.

I think “very far” is a very subjective description. After staying in a villa at the Boardwalk, my whole definition of very far changed! It was several hallways from the elevator and quite a long walk. We stayed in the 2nd to last room in the WL villas and it felt like a quick walk compared to BWV! One of the things I love about WL is that there really is no location that I would consider very far. There are longhouses at the Poly that I would consider very far, as well as other locations in other resorts, but not the WL. YMMV

Arrived at 11am. Went to check in desk. Guy with iPad said check your phone. Nothing, checked app and could see room number, nice!

1st time in a studio. Sofa bed similar to other Disney resorts . I’m in it because dd is more fussy. Room was at 74 after turning air to 65 after 5 hours. Went to check in and asked to be looked at. It’s still showing 71 even tho set at 65. If I don’t sleep well I’ll ask to be moved tomorrow.

Lots of storage and I like the theming! Issue is where to put the sofa sleeper couch pillows. Only 2 of us so I put them on other side of Q bed against the wall.

Territory lounge? Wow I don’t know how cute it is! So well themed. We stopped there before heading to HS.

Oh and I saw a snake. He was cutting across my path on way to bus stop .

Yep a crazy day!

We actually did a night swim and water was warm but nice on tired body

They have a nice roasted chicken with mashed potatoes and green beans at RR QS. I needed that after a long hot day. Only ate 1/2 but with a microwave can heat it up tomorrow.

Well you are in the Wilderness so wildlife has the right of way. We have shared the Copper Creek Springs pool with ducks on several occasions.

I dropped my phone and my pix come out blurry so I won’t have many this trip;

Ouch for your smartphone. There is some good news. Your first pix of the courtyard and the pool is clear only your second and third are fuzzy. Might just be one lens damaged so try to take long range pix...

I’m pretty good with genie. Had RR, TSMM, SDD and MMRR last night with tot that we changed to SM at MK. That was only 8P. Had it night been arrival day I could have gotten even more reservations!

We popped in for Olga’s too.

Today is AK, Epcot break then MK.

Oh want to do villa pool today.

Anybody have any questions about the studio? Let me know we leave tomorrow. Oh no coffee mug or glassware as seen in pictures and videos we only have paper. There are plenty at least.

You should be able to call housekeeping and request glassware, if you’d prefer it. Have fun!
