Does anyone have the December 2021 movies & activities schedule or know where I can find one? We arrive Dec 24 for 9 days (I know 😳 crowds but I want to spend one Christmas at Disney World & this is it). Thanks in advance!
I’m not sure, but I think the week after Thanksgiving was as crowded as Christmas week. 🤷‍♀️. Anyway use genie plus and make your stay easier. We used genie and rode almost everything we wanted.

I completely agree with that statement. We’ve been going the same two weeks since 2004 (Thanksgiving/Week after) and this was by far the worst I’ve ever seen the week after Thanksgiving. There was a time we’d literally just walk on rides during that week… typically you’d see a huge drop-off in crowds the Sunday after Thanksgiving. It’s gradually been getting more and more crowded that week. I even commented at one point I thought it was more crowded than Thanksgiving week!! Hopefully it’s just a surge of people this year due to no travel last year. Time will tell.

I agree with the surge and make up vacations. We’ve also been doing either the 1st or 2nd wk in Dec and this year was insane! Dec 3-11 (AKV/CCV split). AK was great on Sun 5th. Rope dropped FOP and NAVI then ate and hit Safari and EE all in the first 2 hrs. Went back to Jambo for pool time break. Then finished night with a lot of EE and a 20min wait for FOP.

EP on Mon 6th was a later open, but the evening hrs were the best. ROPE dropped Frozen and Test Track, ate, then did Remy BG. Eve hrs Walked on Remy 2x, Soarin, and Test Track 3x.

MK was packed all day Wed 8th. We boated back to the lodge for pool time and lunch at Geyser Point then went back for Enchantment and the eve hrs to hit a bunch of rides.

Yes the crowds were awful!
I told my granddaughter this looks like Christmas week crowds😳! I haven’t been during Christmas week, but from the pictures I looked at it looked the same. We had to hold hands to keep from getting lost in the crowds a few times.
I kept waiting for crowds to drop after Sunday, but they never did.
This is when you need to make plans by making dining reservation and genie +. Oh and the Merriest Christmas After Hours was so worth it for the low crowd and Christmas festivities! My favorite part of our trip 😁.
With a plan it can work out. I felt sorry for the people standing in long lines waiting to ride. We never waited no longer then 20 minutes with genie and most were walk on.

I promise I looked for this but just want to confirm. At YC/BC and CR/BLT when we sit at the pool(s), servers circulate and take food/drink orders right at our pool chairs. That service is not offered at WL / CC / BR, correct? First world problems, I know, I have to get up and walk 25 feet for a new drink.

Any insight is appreciated. Thanks!

There were pool servers 4th of July week, but can’t confirm they are still there. It would be great if so!

The servers were at the two pools when we were there in September. :)

Just returned from a nice stay at the Lodge. It was a short trip, Dec 6-10, so I didn’t get a lot of chances to just enjoy the resort, but what I did experience was great! I hadn’t stayed at WL in nearly 20 years. I usually follow the discounts, but since there weren’t any anywhere this year, I was happy to book there to enjoy the spectacular Christmas decorations.

The room: Standard View King. Room request sent via Touring Plans — Primary request: a room off the lobby; Secondary request: higher floor if possible. Both requests were met perfectly! I was in room 6084, one floor below club level, which opened directly across from the Christmas tree. It was such a treat to walk out and see the beautiful decorations and hear the music multiple times each day. The room was also convenient via staircase to a nook on the fifth floor with a fireplace and a great view of the tree. The nook was hardly ever occupied, so I spent a fair amount of time there enjoying the ambience. Love the renovated rooms - plenty of storage space and a nice bright bathroom with a great walk-in shower. My balcony view was very standard, and outside was fairly noisy with trucks and a constant droning noise from a facility of some sort behind the trees. It was not really possible to relax out there even though the weather was beautiful. However, from inside the room, the view was all trees and a great view of the Contemporary, which I enjoyed a lot! The best surprise was a decent view of the MK fireworks. I couldn’t see the castle, but the higher fireworks were visible and beautiful 🤩.

Dining: Stopped by Geyser Point on arrival day for lunch while waiting for my room to be ready. Really enjoyed this place! Lucked out with a waterfront table with a great view of the boats to keep me occupied. Ordered the Bison Burger medium rare and it was juicy and delicious! I wanted to dine here again but never made it. One afternoon I stopped by Territory Lounge and got a cocktail to go, to enjoy in my fifth floor nook. Service was friendly and courteous and the drink was very well made - perfect for sipping next to the fire. Unfortunately I didn’t get to try any of the other restaurants because this was a very busy trip.

Service: Bell Services was absolutely fantastic - the fastest I’ve ever experienced. Both times I called for bags they were delivered in less than five minutes. Boat service was regular and I never waited more than 10 minutes coming or going, though a lot of that was luck. Buses were hit and miss, with no major issues except for one morning going to Epcot, when the bus took over a half hour longer than what was posted when I arrived at the stop. People were getting testy to say the least. Room freshening on Day 2 was as expected, but it’s past time for full housekeeping to return. One very nice thing was that I never saw the trash in the halls that we experienced at GF or YC.

I spent most of my time at the parks so didn’t make it to the pools or other recreation activities, but it looked like lots of people were enjoying them. 🙂

Overall it was a wonderful stay, and I have only good things to say about it. The price was eye-watering though, especially for standard view. I don’t know if I’d book again at that price. Even as great as it was, Disney may have exceeded my price/benefit threshold. Hoping that discounts return in 2022!

When I was there in Nov there were no servers at the pool...at least the one day I was at the pool.

We love having a room that overlooks the lobby. We have been lucky enough to be staying in a room overlooking the lobby when they were putting up the Christmas tree and another time we watched them change the skins on the four huge chandeliers in the lobby. The balcony views aren't great, though.

The fifth floor fireplace nook is a great place to hang out. Your post makes me want to go back again and ask for the lobby view. :)

We requested a room closer to the lobby, but got one a little farther away. It was fine though we didn’t mind.
Our room was 6051. I wish I knew how to get my photos upright 🙄.

Before you post your picture, go in and edit it. Fully rotate it, then save it. Then post. For some reason, it works for me.

Okay thanks I’ll try that. I have other pictures but didn’t post because they go in sideways.
