Disney's WILDERNESS LODGE Information & Questions

We got water on our trip last week too. New bottle each day. No vanity kits or toothbrush/mouthwash kits (I did stick ours from CR in my travel bag as part of my emergency supplies)

Potentially a silly question, but was the water free? I've been to many hotels where it is not, and sometimes it's not clear whether or not it's complimentary.

So far, for the the few places they do this it's free. But shhhhhh, don't give Disney any ideas! :-)

First trip to WL in August and we booked a one bedroom on cash so I don't see a category. I am thinking of requesting first floor as my kids love a patio vs balcony but I can't find any pictures of the patios to get an idea what they may be like as far as seating or views. Can anyone point me toward a picture of a first floor Vila?
Also any suggestions as to where/what to request would be helpful - Thanks!

Yes it is free. There is a note that makes it very clear it's free

I personally did not get one bc I never get Disney email it seems, but several staying at WL in June got the dreaded "Roaring Forks will be closed during your stay" email today. Two that I know of are staying mid month and others are earlier in the month.

This photo is over 5 years old but the Villa patios aren't much to "write home about" :rotfl:. I loved it though...soooo quiet and peaceful:

Thanks this does look lovely - are the views on the higher floors nice enough that I should consider not requesting a patio?
Exited to try WL for the first time but I am used to knowing exactly where I prefer my room to be at the resorts I am familiar with :)

I'm one of 'em!

We're looking forward to Geyser Point. Arrival day is a resort day, so we're going to settle in and have lunch over there and just enjoy the official start of vacation!

We will be having dinner there on our arrival day! I'm looking forward to it too. I was really just passing along the info. Though I'll be honest and say that I have never tried RF bc this is our first WL stay.

Our first stay here too! We have to wait til March 2018 though but we have our room booked already :)

We check in on Sunday and I'm starting my pre-vacation panic! Lol!

We are renting a crib from Kingdom strollers. It should be at bell services when we arrive. Is there a way to call bell services directly from the room to have it brought up? I know you can't actually call the front desk from the room and wasn't sure if the same was true of bell services.

I'm glad you did! I haven't logged onto the boards in a while so didn't realize that the RF refurb was still going on until I got the email, so I am sure there are others in the the same position.

Bell Services is really at the Resort. It's not like the front desk.
When you want bags from Bell Services you HAVE to call from your room (or stop by to pick up in person)

We got the email today. Right at one month until our trip.

Your higher floors will have wood view but you'll be able to see the Lodge, pool, bus stop, Bay Lake, etc. through the trees. Since they've removed some of the trees for the cabins I would say the views would be quite nice on the Bay Lake/Lodge side; the area facing the bus stop and parking lot maybe not so much. Good luck! :tink:
