I guess i got lucky. ;)

That you did. I'm not a slammer I'm just a happy Disney fan that appreciates honesty. Plus you answered my question so no big. A simple please read the last few pages of the thread should suffice for most. No need to get any panties in a bunch over it or get internet muscles either way...We all love the same World.

Are there any Kings in the Standard view rooms?:flower:
Yes, there are in what is currently available under Standard view (which is anything on the North Side of the North wing). In the old (and perhaps future) Standard view category which is only comprised of the middle of the North wing, the King rooms are very limited if not non-existent. The same goes for bunk bed rooms. There are certainly bunk bed rooms in the location that is currently available as "Standard View" but they used to only be a bookable option in Woods or Courtyard View.

Your higher floors will have wood view but you'll be able to see the Lodge, pool, bus stop, Bay Lake, etc. through the trees. Since they've removed some of the trees for the cabins I would say the views would be quite nice on the Bay Lake/Lodge side; the area facing the bus stop and parking lot maybe not so much. Good luck! :tink:

Me again - read almost the entire thread !
I booked a 1 bedroom on cash and it isn't clear what my category is - would I request a bay lake view if I decide to try a higher floor?

Yes, I would; and again, I'm not sure of the view but logic tells me that side would be much better than the other. DD and her family booked a 1 bedroom a few years back and ended up with a Bay Lake/quiet pool view that they loved. In 2015 they had a 1 bedroom on the other side but it was closer to the Lodge and had a Lodge/bus stop view which wasn't bad at all. Our stay was in a studio and we loved that location also. It was perfect for us. Family friends had a 2 bedroom a few years back and were A-L-L the way on the end with a "tree view". They DID say it was very peaceful and quiet but quite a walk for their 4 children who were 10 and under :goodvibes. Hopefully someone who has stayed on that side of the Lodge will post some photos for you. You may want to check out the "Addicted to WL" (or something to that effect) thread. It's been a few years since I've had a chance to check on that thread but I have noticed it's still active. :tink:

Yup - pool got filled. It's not done.

That was a leak test. Around May 3, the final finish coat went onto the pool. This was pure WHITE. Most pools get shot with a final "pool light blue" coat..... but the water retention and recirculating hardware get tested first, in the event that something has to get dug up :).

We actually got to SEE the "pool guys" doing the fine finish coat - about May 2 :).

The good news? Final landscaping for the pool area was also going in. The pool will not be the rate limiting step for completion of the expansion.

Gotcha. Thanks for the info!

Sad to report that my party has decided to move to POR in order to save some money. Please remove us from the list staying Oct. 14-20. I'll stay at WL one day!

Does the fridge have a freezer section? If not does it get cold enough to freeze a bottle of water?

Does anyone here have experience with eating a quick breakfast at Geyser Point AND making it to MK for an 8:00 am EMH opening?
I've heard that food can take up to 20 minutes at Geyser Point.
If you've recently done a 8:00 am EMH opening at MK, how did you do breakfast?

Thanks!

I don't want to chance it, so I'm going to do granola/protein bars to tide us over and then a late breakfast/early lunch in the parks.

Thought you handled this with MAJOR class....hats off to you and a toast. Always believed the DIS threads were here to help and not be snarky !:flower1:

We're staying in a 2BR Villa at Boulder Ridge in June. We've stayed in a studio there in the past, but this our first time in this Villa category. Two questions: First, does the fact that we are staying on points booked for us by a member affect whether we can use touring plans room request service; and Second, for a 2BR Villa we're not even sure what types of requests to make --aside from the general idea of being somewhat close to the elevators and having a pleasant view, we aren't sure what or where to request. Are there more desirable 2BR Villas that have nice views/are higher views better for any reason/are the layouts, generally all the same? I guess there are more than 2 questions there. LOL. Any suggestions?
