Can't wait! Just 2 more days before we arrive at the Lodge. I'm so excited to see all the changes. We'll be staying in a deluxe CL room. Looking forward to seeing what they did with the club.
You're correct that 7067 is not a guest room. We stayed in room 7061 and could look into room 7067 from our balcony. It was definitely used by staff for storage and supplies.I'm going from memory here but I'm 99% certain 7067 isn't in use. That whole 067-073 space seemed to be all CL kitchen, storage, prep area, and there's a guest restroom (which seemed newly built). I could be wrong/missing something, but that's what my 9 month old memory is telling me. But I defer to you (the expert!) to set me straight!I have some pics of that hallway which aren't totally conclusive, but can post if helpful.
I defer to the CL experts, but I thought I recalled that room not being used. It is interesting that they have added restrooms up there. Thanks for the confirmation. Based off the room numbers, the first floor only has one less room than it used to, so it is almost entirely studios. I suspect the two end rooms were combined into a 1 bedroom. I don't know what they did with the former deluxe rooms, but I suspect they are alternate studios like they did mid-wing.You're correct that 7067 is not a guest room. @GrandCalifornian - your map is amazing. It looks like they really reduced the occupancy of the south wing when they converted it to DVC units. I know that the ground floor facing the main pool has a lot of dedicated studios. We could look into them when we were there in July. They were preparing them for opening day, which was just two weeks later.
I had the hardest time trying to figure out what those former ground floor deluxe rooms were going to be when I was looking in the windows during construction. They didn't look like either a typical villa or a typical studio. I don't think I saw a full kitchen in them.I suspect the two end rooms were combined into a 1 bedroom. I can't remember if they have bacon. When we stayed in a villa at OKW a couple years ago, I brought pre-cooked bacon from home. The packages are very lightweight and easy to pack. The pre-cooked bacon worked perfectly since they only needed to be warmed up and they were a lot less messy than regular bacon. Other than the bacon, I was able to get eggs, milk, juice, and everything else I needed for breakfast in the villa at the gift shop.Does anyone know if they sell bacon at the WL for us to cook with eggs from breakfast in our villa? I just saw the grocery delivery prices and fees and was turned off lol.
I don't recall if they had bacon, but I got pictures so I should be able to check and reply later. We did a grocery order for water, which helped meet the minimum.Does anyone know if they sell bacon at the WL for us to cook with eggs from breakfast in our villa? Yes, the x032 rooms should be available to a Standard View reservation since Woods View is not bookable. That is the area where some trees were removed as they built cabins along the shoreline. Those rooms and the standard view ones in the next section West have generally better MK views now, but there may be some trees in the way.In 2012, we stayed in room 5032, which was Woods View. I believe we overlooked Beaver Pond and had an obstructed view of Wishes. We were very happy with that room location/view.
(1) Is this the area where trees have been removed and there is a more clear view of MK at this time?
(2) Our reservation is a Standard View for Thanksgiving week, but from what I gather the Woods View is not currently a booking category, so requesting a room in the 5032 area is within our booking category?
(3) Are there any bunk bed configuration rooms in that stretch?
(4) Are there any King bed rooms in that stretch?
TIA, it's so exciting for me to be following this informative, friendly thread again! (Only sad that there's not the possibility of being Flag Family again.)
Have ya all looked at the flooplans on the dvc website? They have some great videos too. It looked like the grand villas had the deluxe rooms incorporated in them.

Fun to do is t it?Yes the 3 bedroom grand villas are on the ends of the South wing on the 2nd through 5th floors. They are beautiful. Davids DVC rentals website has nice virtual tours of all the different villas:

Boulder Ridge villas will have views of trees, or the bus stop, or the WL or the new quiet pool. Can anyone tell me what the view is for HA rooms in the villas on either side?
We just got back from another great stay at WL. As we mentioned before, we are so impressed with the additions to the resort and how well everything ties together. Geyser Point is a huge plus, and Roaring Fork is still nice, although we do miss our waffle toppings.
One thing we looked at while we were there is that they did with the rooms that open to the lobby on the South (CCV) side. We found that they added a villas laundry room on the 4th floor on the East end of the rooms over the registration desk. Unfortunately this is accessible to Villas guests only (and yes, I tried my Magic Band).

It is also interesting to note that the former guest rooms next to this room (the 4th floor former Standard View rooms over the registration desk) are no longer in use. These rooms had a poor view from the balconies due to the roofline of the adjacent building. They do not have room numbers now, and have Cast Members Only signs on them. The sliding glass windows have been blacked out as well. The rooms above them on the 5th, 6th, and 7th floor appear to be in use.

I got a couple of pics with the doors open as a CM went in / out one morning. It appears they are being used for storage.

An interesting question to me is what became of the old honeymoon rooms on the South side 7th floor. The doors are still there and numbered 7095 and 7096. I haven't seen a CCV Villa Floorpan that indicates what was done with these.

Finally, the "Bear Face" rooms on the South side of the lobby on floors 4 and 5 appear to have been converted to a studio and a 1 bedroom, which connect to form a two bedroom lockoff. The Studio is the room closest to the center of the lobby (4103 or 5103) and the 1 bedroom is South of it (4105 or 5105).
I see these as very desirable Copper Creek Villas.

We are soooo excited for our first stay at Boulder Ridge Villas in 2 weeks!!!
Thanks, and I'm glad to share. I took a bunch of pictures so the only hard part is finding the ones I know I took...
Here is the gate on the 7th floor, South side that divides the CL from the rest of the 7th floor.

View attachment 263872
The open stairway on the South side is now unobstructed, and accessible to everyone.
View attachment 263873
By comparison, the open stairway on the North side of the lobby still has the gate on the 6th floor that prevents you from accessing CL from there.
View attachment 263874
This means that the lobby elevators and South Wing elevators now allow full access to the 7th floor for everyone, but the North Wing ones by Roaring Fork still require scanning a valid card or Magic Band to access the 7th floor.
Hi all,
Just wanted to check in and post some pictures. We got here around 12:30 - and our 1 bedroom villa was ready. (This was a first for us in any Disney hotel we have stayed in. )
We are really impressed with
the outdoor changes (we were unsure if how we would like the expansion , would it lose it's wilderness lodge feel? We feel that it didn't and the property looks amazing) the outdoor space looks so beautiful, here are some pictures;

Hi!
My family will be at WL, in two separate reservations from 9/5-9/12!!
Can't wait!![]()
Last year my sister and mom surprised my dad with a one night stay at WL after our stay at All Star Movies. It was to be a surprise for me too but because of MDE I found out hahah! Needless to say we loved it and can't go back to a Value now. #firstworldproblemsforsure!
We have already booked for Nov 12-18 2018 in a standard view. That's what we had last year and got an amazing Wishes and Castle view. Fingers crossed for that kind of pixie dust again. Looking forward to reading this thread for the next 14.5 months and planning our vacation!
Here's something I have wanted to do since I heard they were re-configuring the South Wing. Based on the Villas declaration and my walking around the resort and taking pictures, here is an updated room number map that includes the Copper Creek Villas side. Also note that the name of the main pool has changed to Copper Creek Springs Pool, in keeping with the change from Silver to Copper creek. Also note that some floors have different room configurations, specifically the 1st, 6th, and 7th, where there are no Grand Villas. It is a work in progress, but it is far more accurate than the original lodge room numbers.

Lol!
Here's a view of that area. This is facing north... to the left is the CL lounge. That first opening to the right is the restroom (it's a single unisex restroom). The second opening to the right goes to a door where the kitchen/CL back area is (I guess that former room). Then you see the start of the hallway towards the back with the CL rooms.

While I'm at it, said CL restroom below. Not many CLs have restrooms off the lounge but I appreciate the ones that do!

Ok, maybe wierd that I took a photo in the restroom. But I was glad to see a baby changing station and I thought they did a nice job on the design/tile work!
