We are staying club level for one night in FEB. On the day we check out how long can we use the Club level for? Do we loose privileges after breakfast (check out) or can we come back throughout the day? Thanks

You'll have access to the lounge for the entire day. We usually have late flights out and it's nice to spend time in the lounge before the flight!

You can use the lounge the full day of checkout when staying CL. We LOVE this about CL, gives us the flexibility to book a later flight home at times.

I should also add, I very much like the CL lounges like WL that 1) don't close at times during the day and 2) have a restroom. Both can be helpful when you have to give up your room. :-)

Is the new WL Lounge now open all day similar to the Poly? The old OFC would close their doors in between meals to set up for the next. We were still able to request things when we spotted a CM, but it's nice to be able to grab coffee/water all day and in between meals.

The lounge/seating areas are always open. The food/beverage area did have doors that could close however I never saw them in use and a CM told me they hadn't been using them - they just used a cart to 'block' parts of the food areas as they setup.

I will caveat that you could tell the CMs/management were still tweaking with the overall operations of the lounge (I was there just after it opened), so your mileage may vary if they end up changing back to what they used to do.

Hope that helps.

Good to see this, our last stay there they would chain up the gates and you couldn't even get a soda unless you were able to chase someone down, and then they acted as if it put them out to get you anything. Really soured me on OFC. zmsy have to give them another try if they have changed

I've had experiences like this at other CL's before so I know what you mean. Unfortunately so much of the CL experience comes down to certain CMs you in interact with... random moments at random times of the day. FWIW, the particular CMs we encountered on our stay were all the good kind... almost pushing drinks on us, making sure we knew where the to go trays were, making sure we knew we could ask for a beer at any time, making sure we knew we could get chocolate milk all the time for the kids. It was really great actually.

But like I said, I've had the opposite experiences too (at other CL's) so I generally keep an open mind and roll with it... both the good and bad.

In contrast, Portofino Bay Club CMs refused to get my husband a beer after 7PM!

Hi! Just stayed in a Deluxe Room right after Thanksgiving. I posted quite a bit about the room and location in this post on the Club Level Thread: Disney's Club Level (CL) Information and Questions

The labeled pic in that post will give you a general idea. The Deluxe Rooms are on the ends of the north wing and don't face the MK, unfortunately. However, the new lounge does have two balconies that face towards the MK. I posted lots of photos of our room, new lounge, and food on the CL thread, keep scrolling through the pages starting with that link above and look for posts from me.

Don't let my somewhat negative review of the Deluxe Room get you down. We LOVED CL overall and had a great time. Hope that helps!
Question on the location of the deluxe rooms: Are they located on every floor? Is there any on the same floor as the Club? Thanks again for your help!

From the Deluxe Rooms post, post #5 of this thread.

DELUXE ROOMS sleep six. At 500 square feet, these rooms have a living room area with a queen-size sleeper sofa, two easy chairs, a coffee table, a table with two chairs, wet bar, fridge and a flat panel TV. The bedroom is separated by French doors from the living room and has two queen-size beds, another flat panel TV inside a cabinet with drawers, an armoire and second very small balcony. The double-sinked bathroom with separate toilet and shower/bath can be accessed from either the bedroom or the foyer and is identical to a standard room’s bathroom. There are *25 Deluxe rooms on floors 1-6 only. There are no Deluxe rooms on the Club Level’'s seventh floor, but all Deluxe rooms come with full Club Level access and amenities. Deluxe Rooms have a view of Bay Lake though some views are obstructed by trees at the end of the North Wing.

*Due to the closure of the South Wing, only the North Wing has Deluxe Rooms available for booking.

Does anyone have any advice on the best deluxe room location I should request? I'm thinking 6th floor to be closer to the Club? Anything else? Thanks!

To follow up on @dansdad's post, this photo should help. With the South wing rooms presumably gone forever to DVC, the "Deluxe Rooms" are all either #1 or #2 in the pic, floors 1-6. As previously mentioned, there are no Deluxe Rooms on the 7th floor. For context, #3 is the North Wing elevator. #4 is the location of the Old Faithful Club Loung (but on the 7th Floor obviously).

My room was #1 in the pic, 3rd floor. It was a 2:40 walk to the lounge, on average. A higher floor would save a few seconds of elevator time, but no matter what floor you're on it's a decent hike.

I think I would have rather been on a higher floor just to be up higher in the trees... but the trees are really dense and tall on that end of the building. I'm not sure if the 6th floor view would have been materially different than my 3rd floor view. Note, the construction plans do show a new path connecting the cabins on the north side to the boat dock and trail that goes by the geyser. I suspect they'll need to clear some trees which could make the views from #2 a bit better (pure speculation on my part).

IMHO other than marginal elevator time, there's no advantage one way or the other as to which floor you're on as it relates to the Old Faithful Club Lounge.

Sorry for the long info... a couple of us over on the CL thread were having detailed discussions on this topic awhile back because we trying to figure out the same thing.

Hi everyone,

I am happy to report that I just booked a bounce back for WL earlier this week. I saved 30% off rack rate. This trip will be my boyfriend and I. May 6-13. I just returned from a quick 5 day trip and told myself I am done with the value resorts. Can't wait to try the lodge!

I booked a pincode and couldn't really decide, but once I saw WL was at 30% off I couldn't resist making the jump either

I just got back from a quick WL club level stay. It was great. The construction was minimal and out of the way. We got some great chocolate bars and trading pins in our room. Room was ready early (noon-ish), late checkout (1-ish) was no problem at all.

Thanks to the construction, the resort seemed empty. We had the pool to ourselves for several hours this morning (late morning).

Related to the discussions above: every time I went for a drink, the fridges were accessible and open. We had to ask for bottled waters in the morning (to take to the park) because they put them away in the morning, but the CMs happily brought us 4 each morning. And yes, they had hard boiled eggs for breakfast. We didn't end up doing any of the evening apps, but we enjoyed the desserts each night.

I was hesitant, but booked last minute and we did a short & MK centric trip. For MK, the boat transportation is awesome. Very quick and also quite fun. We didn't use the buses at all.

Crossing my fingers you say they still had the cobbler for dessert... :fish:

What do you think your travel time was? Leaving room, waiting on boat, getting off boat?

The travel time seems to be 6-7 minutes tops. One time (of 8 boat trips), we waited 10 minutes one time for a boat, but it was usually less than 5 mins.

My kids interests mainly involve MK and they are young and still nap -- so good access was key. We have a longer trip at CR coming up in Feb/Mar, but I wanted to try another resort. I kept debating and worrying, but WL is really, really great for MK. Our first day we had the kids nap until 3, but were in MK (meeting Mickey) by 3:30.

Yup. Cobbler was good. I didn't take any pictures and I don't recall what they are called, but they also had these smores like desserts that were awesome. Mini-cupcake shaped and hard to describe, but delicious. My kids also ate at least 4 mini cupcakes per day. So while we didn't go during appetizer time, we ate plenty of desserts!
