Resort Thread Disney's PORT ORLEANS RIVERSIDE Resort

Then rather than requesting a building number and hoping that they will guess why, just tell them that you'd like a room as close as possible to the main building. Incidentally, while the walk across the island from 38 is lovely, and a great way to get to the main pool, it's actually a slightly shorter walk if you take the riverbank pathway to the food court.

Thanks, Andre! Your site is awesome and so helpful!

Andre has the menu on his website

However I always welcome photos of the menus. The current pages should be up to date (they were last checked about a month ago) but Disney do have a habit of changing stuff and tweaking prices. If anyone is able to spare a few minutes to quickly snap round all of the menu screens with their phone (one clear shot of each sub-screen, starting from the bakery and moving round clockwise, is easiest) then feel free to drop them into my guest Dropbox account any time. Most times there are no changes, but I try to keep it confirmed as being as up to date as possible.

Does anyone know if the general store at POR carries cases of bottled water and if so, how much it cost?

It has been a while since we have been to Disney and I had bottled water shipped to our resort for the last trip. Unfortunately, prices to do that have gone up since then and I'm wondering if it would be easier to just buy it at the POR store and pay about the same amount. I was going to order a case of 24 bottles or two 12 packs.

They do, but I don't know how much. Sorry.

I will do this in July when I go.

Going here with My Family in May 2016. Can you tell me which building is closest to the Lobby area. We are staying in a Royal Room with a Garden View. I have some mobility issues. Thank you in advance.

There's a map in the first post of this thread that shows where the two buildings with Royal rooms are located, but it's better to just request what you want - a room close to the main building - rather than a building.

$6.69 per case.

Hello everyone,

Admittedly, I haven't had time to read through all 177 pages of this thread so bear with me. Normally when we go to WDW, we stay at Pop Century, due to financial reasons. This time, we are looking at going back the week before Thanksgiving but are looking at possible a split stay with most of the week at POR with the last two nights at Pop for our two little girls. Having never stayed at POR before, we would be reserving just a standard room. I'm wondering how much walking (i.e. distance) back and forth (worst case scenario) between the room and the front lobby would be involved. I know that there are 4 bus stops but I'm mainly concerned about things like getting breakfast, filling up mugs, etc.
How old are the kids? Strollers?

Maybe. Maybe not. We won't even know if the resort is included at all until they announce any offers. I'd say there's more chance of the most expensive rooms being included though, if any rooms are.

Andre

We have booked FD the past 3 yrs at POR usually via BB but I was still checking the availabilities online once the offer was publicly offered. And the past years I believe the Royal rooms were the usually the ONLY avail. during our times ( september) ..Makes sense as this is a less of a discount for Disney.. those rooms are significantly more expensive, esp. rack rate.. which is the rate for FD. Noticed also the pirate rooms at CBR showed avail.

This is their way of getting people to book the more expensive catagories... standard usually goes first.

Apologies in advance if this is mentioned somewhere else - are there full size hair dryers in the rooms at POR? When I last visited 2 years ago they were in the process of replacing the wall hair dryers with regular ones at most of the resorts.

Thanks!
