Speaking of Josh …

Josh, who himself is serving a 12-year prison sentence for possessing child pornography, said charges against his brother 'deeply saddened' him.

'Josh understands the stigma of being accused,' his attorney told the Daily Mail.

'He lives with the painful reality of how false accusations can destroy a life. He understands how the targeting of a person for publicity can twist the truth into sensationalized fiction.'

The attorney added that although 'Josh and Joe are not in frequent communication,' the jailed brother 'hopes and prays for his brother's well being in this difficult time'.

Yup. Not only that, it tells me that Josh still sees himself as a victim even after admitting to molesting his sisters years ago. The better keep him on very short leash when he finally gets out of prison.

What I read about Kendra was that her husband's charges immediately triggered a search of their home. In that search, they found bedroom doors that lock from the outside, which obviously she would have known about and been involved with so the charge was "false imprisonment." Not sure what else.

While I would never LOCK my kids in a room, I did put up a baby gate for a few months to keep them in their rooms (for their own safety) when they first got out of their cribs and I was afraid they'd get out and wander. I wonder if that, cribs, and playpens are excluded from imprisonment charges? Not defending them by any means because why would you lock kids IN a room, but I've also been in air bnbs that have bedroom doors that lock from the outside to use as owner storage when they are being rented or roommate rooms that had locked bedrooms for privacy. I guess I would hope that's what this was, but the extended family has some weird child rearing practices so that would probably be too much to hope for. Glad that they are investigating everything though. I do remember that the original Duggars would lock the kids in their rooms after they realized Josh was abusing the girls, so apparently it's sort of "normalized" in their family that is weirdly obsessed with sex and the idea that people can't resist sexual temptation.

That whole family is so messed up; I hope that many of them have escaped this madness. Prayers for the victims and for the safety of all the kids.

Cousin Amy
Has said that their grandfather was a child molester and she was never allowed to.be around him unsupervised. This deeply upsets me. Why wasn't he reported.

Their whole culture basically protects the men/boys at all costs.

It's very "normal" in their circles for this abuse to happen in families and it's just ignored.
