Disney's POP CENTURY RESORT Information & Questions

Just changed our reservation from standard ASMU to preferred Pop, $65 extra for three nights. I liked the thought of not having to walk far at the end of a hot day. And being that we check in next Saturday, it will be hot!

Question is, since they refurbished the rooms, do the mini fridges have the freezer compartment in them? Sorry if it’s been asked before, we always bring bottled water, and it’d be great to be able to have them frozen at the start of the day. TIA!
No, they do not have a freezer section in the fridges. It's all fridge.

Haven’t been to Pop in a long time, but booked a short October trip for DD’s college fall break. I’d love to get a renovated room on the top floor. We have a standard view booked. We used to ask for the 50’s section, but it sounds like those buildings aren’t done yet.how should I make my room request?

Thanks!

Should be done by October, so you should be fine.

Very tempted by the discount code I got emailed today :mickeyjum. Trying to decide if a short trip would be too much with a 6 month old! I've always wanted to go during Christmas and Food and Wine..

Well, as long as hubby can go, you should should do it! If he can't go I wouldn't. It would stink to not be able to witness your child's first trip to Disney!
You might even be there during Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party!

Anyone have any pictures of a the pool with the fence? We have a preferred pool view room and I'm trying to figure out what room to request. The views on touring plans don't have the fence in them. Does the fence block the pool view on the ground floor?

I love this site: https://touringplans.com/hotel_maps/disneys-pop-century-resort Click on the building you want, then click on the specific room and it will show you the exact view as if you are standing in front of your room door. Once you get the image, you will have an option of moving left, right, up or down - towards the bottom right of the picture.
Hope this helps!

Do any of the rooms come with 2 queens in the preferred pool view section??

Pretty sure the majority of the rooms at POP have 2 queens. The number of rooms with King beds - at least per the Touring Plans maps (which I know are not always accurate) is very small.

If Brazil and/or Argentina play in the Quarters or Semis The 15s will be pretty "amped up" as well.lol:)

And if Brazil and Argentina play EACH OTHER at any point,The 15s will go MEGA BALLISTIC!lol:)
When does this take place? I hope not when we are there

Have to say I've never heard of a hotel that didn't have the option of two double beds. Hard to believe the entire resort only has the Murphy bed or single king bed option.

Are any of the other resorts like this, with only those two choices?

The Murphy bed is a normal queen size bed. So your options are two queens or a king. All the all stars are moving to this as well.

I am not sure if they changed the number of King rooms with the renovation, or moved some locations, but just for a point of reference according the map on post 2 of the Pop renovation thread and what is on touring plans, the room we stayed in was supposed to be a King room, but had the queen and murphy bed combo.

He cant :( he told us to go though (my Mom and I) were going again in February, so he said he doesn't mind.

Yeah - I have heard they are not the most reliable (as I said).

Regardless, the 2 queens (one legit and one murphy) are still the majority of the rooms.

How far out from your reservation can you call and make room requests? I'd like to make sure I get a room with a king bed in it rather than the queen/murphy bed combo. I'd also like a top floor closer to the transportation/dining. I'm not going until January; is it too early to call?

Any time from the day you book up until 4-5 days out. I always give them my requests when I book.
