We always do that-hop on whichever bus comes first.

It also affords the opportunity to "experience" both Resorts.:)
I know right. We have to figure out how to get to Poly for a 9:30 p.m. reservation with the parks closing early in Feb. i think we have to go to Epcot then take monorail to poly...then coming back may have to go to Disney Springs to get bus back to Pop. Any one have any other ideas?

Are you wanting to use Disney transportation? You may wish to look into the price of a taxi or Uber, especially after your reservation. Depending on what night of the week it is, buses could be few and far between after dining which will probably be 11:00 or later. It might be easier to budget in the cost of a taxi/uber/Minnie Van rather than wait for a bus at Poly going to Disney Springs and then transfer to a bus going to Pop.

It's a personal decision but another option for you.

I've never had to do it before, but it makes sense. We stayed at both POR and POFQ and those buses stop at both so it didn't really matter too much which one you got on.

Sadly leaving Pop tomorrow to go home. Here's a mini trip report:
Pop was great as usual! Got a refurb room in building 10 and loved it!!
We finally took the time to walk to AOA and we loved the food there! Ended up going there a bunch of times.
Buses were great!... Until TODAY. We waited 50 min for a bus to show up at AK. For sure am gonna email them about it.

Only one thing really annoying happened. We were rudely awakened last night at 11:30 by housekeeping WITH our do not disturb sign up. We went to the front desk today to ask what had happened. Apparently they had mixed up the rooms they needed to visit which was an honest mistake, but what really bothered us is that they banged on our door with the sign up??

If you had a kid get sick in the night or something, it would be easy to forget to take the sign down. Sounds like an unfortunate mix-up. At least you weren't the ones needing housekeeping in the middle of the night!  I'm sure it wasn't a pleasant way to end your stay though.

According to the front desk it was only people who had skipped housekeeping asking for towels. They were surprised about what happened, and said if the sign was up protocol would be to just drop off the towels outside the door.

Sorry you had that happen, @Arianabtd. We had a room mix-up while we were there. It wasn't housekeeping, though. We had neglected to remove our DND sign before heading to the park on the day we arrived. They tried to deliver our luggage, saw the sign, and took it back to be held for us. When we got back, I removed the DND sign and called for the luggage. We waited a very long time (almost an hour), and then the luggage desk called us saying that the DND sign was still on our door so they had again brought the luggage to the desk. I explained that the DND sign was no longer on our door, it was sitting right next to me; they must have gone to the wrong room. 20 minutes later our luggage arrived. While the room mix-up was annoying, I had packed everything we would need for 24 hours into our carry-on luggage, so having our checked bags was not essential. I was able to get my DD ready for bed. I disliked keeping her up past her bedtime, though, waiting for the luggage to arrive. If I'd given it a bit more thought, I might have chosen to have them hold our luggage until the following day.

They definitely should not have knocked on your door if your sign was on. We called housekeeping several times this summer to request towels, toilet paper, etc... because we opted out of housekeeping. Every single time we called, we were reminded to take the "do not disturb" sign off our door, or they would not knock.

I am thinking about going back in may and staying at pop.I am getting conflicting info on mini-fridges,I have seen some mention the rooms now have them and some say no.The Disney info page says "beverage cooler".
what is it?
also whats the weather like in may?

All of the new rooms have a fridge. Although I could see why people might call it a beverage cooler because there isn’t a freezer in it.

They all have mini fridges for a number of years now.

I would recommend googling your question about weather in Orlando in May as it will give you averages based on years of stats rather than just a person’s experience.

I was very concerned about this also as my DD has a medication that must be kept refrigerated. A "beverage cooler" does not provide adequate refrigeration. What's in the rooms is an actual refrigerator NOT a beverage cooler. Perhaps the term "beverage cooler" is being used to indicate that it isn't as large inside as the old mini-fridge, but for those of us who are familiar with a "beverage cooler" as something else entirely, it is very confusing. Maybe it should be identified as a beverage refrigerator. It provides actual refrigeration, to a point where I had to turn the temperature down to prevent freezing the medication.

I believe the term "beverage cooler" was used by Disney when they put the original "box/dorm" refrigerators in all of the rooms a few years ago. I'm guessing that once the refurbishment is completely finished they'll change the description to be "refrigerator" or "mini-fridge".

Traveling solo. If i get a renovated room. Will only be using the one queen bed. Plan to keep junk on the table. Will housekeeping move stuff on the table to check to see if the bedding on the Murphy bed needs to be changed? Previous trips kept junk on one the beds with no problem.

I did exactly this when staying solo in a renovated room, and housekeeping never touched the table.

I really don't care if I get a renovated room or not. It does concern me that folks are saying the floors are filthy...what's up with that?
