Disney's POP CENTURY RESORT Information & Questions

I have a couple of questions about pizza at everything pop...

How big are the giant slices of pizza in relation to a whole large pizza?

And, are the whole pizzas ready to purchase and take, or is there a waiting period?

Trying to decide if it's better to buy two slices or a whole pizza while in a time crunch.

Thanks.
The monster slice is 1/4 of a full pie. You can also get your side from any bay if you are willing to stand in two lines...image.jpeg

But for 2 CS credits to get a whole pie plus 2 drinks and 2 desserts is a lot! Sub out drinks if you use your mug (we didn't so got like 1 drink, 2 salads, and 1 dessert). Never could finish it all! Pack ziploc bags in your suitcase for leftovers!

The giant slices of pizza are I would say about the size of two slices of pizza together. The whole large pizza is the equivalent of your normal pizza place's large, like Domino's/Papa Johns. So, 8 pizza slices in a large I think. There is a waiting period for the whole pizza, it'll be baked. You'll get one of those buzzer things, and come back to the pickup when it goes off. Don't trust it though, ours didn't go off on two different orders. When we went to check it had been sitting there, the buzzer thing just wasn't working.

Thanks so much for your help! Sounds like a giant slice is the equivalent to 1/4 a large pizza. Now I have to decide, time or money ...lol.

Wow, great picture, it really is big!

We might just pack the ziplock bags! Pizza for breakfast.:-)

They have these pizza deals at pretty much all the resorts, don't they? We're starting our trip at Pop but won't have the dining plan 'til we move to AoA after 2 nights.

Yes pretty sure the resorts that have full size pizzas (Pop, AOA, probably the All Star resorts, plus I know the Boardwalk pizza window does).

If paying out of pocket, just getting one large pizza is a decent deal, I think it's about $20. It's the same as four orders of the monster slice of pizza (8 slices). It's a lot of food!

I'll apologize if this has been answered already but I tried to do a search and maybe my wording wasn't right!

1. Can you bring food into the pool area?
2. Can you bring drinks in plastic (not glass of course) containers like a water bottle?

Thanks so much.

Yes and yes.

You just have to keep the food and drinks a "safe" distance from ther water.:)

Thanks! Not a problem just thought it would be easier to bring lunch to the pool than to get the kids out, dried off and dressed for the food court.

I have done this at any resort I've stayed at! Drinks at the bar are expensive, so I always have my drink if it's afternoon pool time! Also a small soft sided cooler is nice to have!

There are some tables by the pools; we were right by the computer pool last trip, and we enjoyed some drinks at the table by the pool.

We just got back today from a 2 night quick trip. Stayed at POP for the first time (1354, which is bldg 1, 3rd floor facing the parking lot; on the other side was the bowling pin pool). Was very very quiet...not much traffic noise, and zero pool noise.

Bowling pin pool was nice. Lifeguards very on top of things (groups of preteen boys/teenagers being kids in the pool and they were keeping them from getting too unsafe).

Food court was meh. DS and DD#2 liked their pizza. The Southwest burger was good, but a bit dry. Fries were fries. Chips were awesome. The turkey sandwich was meh...the bottom was soggy, the top super dry. Pasta salad was good.

Loved the massive air hockey table. Large and small pucks at once..yes!

Checked in for our quick weekend and got my request for 60's 4th floor (preferred room). There is a clock in 4469 and towels at the pool. The pool gates are open to anyone (don't need magic band to open).

Tomorrow we resort hop and spend more time at the pool.

Quick question...

I really need early check in as we are going to the MNSSHP that night. Early entry is at 4, but with check in at 3 I'm worried. I did request that as top priority on my online check in. Should I call/fax/beg somehow this week. We check in Friday. Thanks in advance!!!

In my experience, chances are pretty good that your room will be ready before 3:00 -- especially if you chose the option to have early check-in as your top priority. What time did you indicate you would be arriving? If your room isn't ready when you arrive, they will hold your luggage for you at the resort and you can go straight to the park. Just make sure you have whatever you need for the park packed in your carry-on luggage.

Arrived at POP today and going to MK tomorrow. What time should I be at the bus stop to make rope drop?
