All kidding aside, where will they put the guests if it is not completed? Surely there aren't many extra DVC rooms laying around. Esp. for those that have something larger than a studio booked.

I just want the path from the GF to the Poly to reopen. I missed being able to walk between the two resorts.

The inside has been closed in and much of the rooms likely finished for quite a bit now. They certainly could have planned for a partial occupancy availability on 12/17, but my guess is it all magically comes together over the next couple of weeks.

The sign was still up, as of yesterday, that the path is only open to CM’s and construction workers. I’d assume when the resort opens, the walkway will as well! I’ll be here a few more days, I’ll keep an eye on it!

Manager of Poly told us they will be open no matter what 12/17! That was around Halloween. He came out to chat with us as we were having issues getting into our villa with our MB's. I asked about Poly Tower and he told us CM training would be starting 12/4. We are long time DVC members and did take a tour at the Preview Center. It should be worth the wait!!

Was surprised looked to get a room at the Poly Tower in June to see it for one night just to see it. Adding on an extra night for our stay at another resort and found a room. There was a surprisingly decent amount of availability. Fortunately live in South Florida so used to the unbelievable heat in June LOL! Plan on just having a resort day there so looking forward to it

I just saw this on Tikiman’s FB. Apparently breakfast is going to be grab and go options.

Was a little hard to find…in the app.. if you have a Poly resort reservation click on that, then Dining, then scroll down to find the To Go option. I couldn’t find the “Wailulu To Go” version via search or other methods (maybe just me!).

Wailulu Bar & Grill menus are also showing on the Disney web site: https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/dining/polynesian-resort/wailulu-bar-grill/menus

It is not fully integrated into the MDE app since it is not open yet and it might confuse guests. The Island Tower has also not made it's appearance on the Disney WDW Map in MDE. Both should be integrated by next week.

Was able to change reservation yesterday from Lake View Studio to Resort View resort room. Saved $250.

We are in Fiji. Nice views!

Also with slider open can hear the Christmas music playing below.

Great view of the new Island Tower and environs! Imagine what that view was just months ago when the view from that room would have been a wall or a large pile of dirt.
