Resort Thread Disney's POLYNESIAN VILLAGE RESORT

Touring plans still lists a separate lagoon view and water view for the standard 2 queen 1 daybed room type I noticed. Is the lagoon view drop down what I should focus on for advice?
I would think so although some corner rooms might have an obstructed view. Do read any reviews or notes on noise levels coming from boat horns. We stayed lagoon view at the GF and hated waking up early to boat horns on top of the landscaping machines. I would click on several rooms. You can go left right and top and bottom floor.

I'm tagging @lentesta on this post as he sometimes comes around here. I know there's always some lag in the info when Disney makes wholesale changes to categories like they did when they made all these tweaks the last few years. @lentesta - it looks like you still have some rooms tagged as "Lagoon View" for the Poly hotel side, which is a room category that is no longer bookable. Although you may have more insight. Thanks!

I was just doing a search on FB for Christmas Decorations and I came across these…

There’s now water in the pool at the new Island Tower. Not sure if that was shared, yet. Either way, it gives you a good look at it. Lounge chairs have also been placed.

Oh, thanks for that. I see those rooms. I'll change it.

I think I was trying there to communicate which of the Water View rooms looked out at what. But now we have a better way to do that, so I'll make the change. We have a new 'Internal View' that adds that granularity anyway.

Hi. I tried searching but didn't see any recent posts. Does anyone know if the walking path around the Tower toward the GF is open yet? I'm assuming not but thought I would ask. Thanks!

No, still not open yet (was just there a few days ago). A decent amount of exterior work still occurring. Getting better by the day, but not quite there yet. I’m guessing it’ll be 12/17 when the Tower opens, or in the days leading up to it.

Reminds me of Four Seasons (in a good way-serene and quiet). I sure hope the pool opens so the Lava pool doesn’t get overwhelmed.

How does the size of this pool compare to other leisure pools e.g. the Oasis pool, now that there are chairs to use as a sort of measuring tool? I know there were many concerns that it would be way too small.

This may have been answered already, but will the PIT pool be restricted to PIT guests only (like BLT)? I am guessing since it's the same association that PVB would be allowed to use it, possibly identifying them by their Magic Bands/room keys if it's gated. It does not look all that large, hence the question about restricted access.

It will be available to all Poly gusts regardless of their reservation type.

Any guesses as to when ADRs will open up for the new tower restaurant? I know the menu isn’t even up yet. Will they give advance notice?

From the description the new restaurant may not even take ADRs - it sounds more like Three Bridges or Geyser Point.

Yeah, hotly debated on the DVC boards, but my opinion is that I think it will be walk up only. I’m not even sure this place is really big enough for ADRs to work, if you look at the plans the dining spaces just aren’t all that big.

We’ll find out soon enough I guess!

Last week I read something that referred to it as QS which surprised me. However, it doesn't look very big so maybe more of QS seating?
