Resort Thread Disney's POLYNESIAN VILLAGE RESORT

does the Disney visa free dining promotion work on the new villas? We are a family of 5. I believe the studios only sleep 4?
You would need to call and ask what promotions apply (or I think online bookings will open tomorrow).

The Island Tower studios only sleep 4, whereas the existing Longhouse studios sleep 5. (A baby under 3 can sleep in a pack-and-play in addition to occupancy limits.)

We are currently booked in a longhouse studio that sleeps 5 and has 2 bathrooms. It looks like the new studio rooms only sleep 4 and the one bedroom price difference is steep (we have 10 nights).

Not yet as the Tower is not Open for bookings until tomorrow. The current offer could only cover December 17 to December 21, 2024 if it is available.

Yes only 4 in the new Tower Studios.

The check in date has to be Dec 21 (at the latest). The Disney visa free dining offer applies to dates after. We initially had AOA Nemo booked and had to upgrade the dining from QS to the DDP for our 10 night stay ending Dec 31. The price difference was minimal going from the AOA-Nemo to Poly deluxe studio.

Note that these are Opening Day pricing and not all of 2025 we will have to see pricing starting tomorrow when Guests report the pricing for the rest of 2025. However they don't appear to be priced competitively at first look.

Yes the Tower Studios have a smaller footprint so you are down to 1 bathroom but there are (2) sinks if you count the (1) in the open Kitchenette area.

I just logged in to see if there was any other info posted online. The website is so slow. They need to up their game on the IT side.

Interesting they left out the “Views of…” blurb that is usually on room descriptions. 🤔

The regular deluxe non-duo rooms seem to be the exact same price as the regular rooms at the existing Poly.
NGL, I was tempted to switch from my standard Moana room but I think I’ll keep it. There isn’t really a bad standard view room (that construction will be done!), the rooms are much larger and spacious, and I want to request a king bed.
I also like the location better in terms of being able to walk to the TTC for Epcot.

Aesthetic wise, I see complaints of too much beige but I do think they are very elegant and it sure would be nice to have a real refrigerator.

Booked a duo studio for me and dd presidents weekend. Price for TPV wasn’t too bad so picked that.

Looked like bookings were available until 1st week in May. Since we usually go MDW I’ll have to check in a few weeks.

Maybe I’ll look at some dates…. 😅

Also will be curious to see just how the view corridors are from the tower. Disney's TPV computer generated photos, while not inaccurate, seem to maybe have (not surprisingly) taken a few liberties in the angles/orientation. 😇

But no doubt once you get a few floors up it'll be a spectacular view all around the Seven Seas Lagoon.

The price difference was $9,000 (have to go from a studio to a 1 bedroom for 5 ppl) and we would have to pay for dining (no rooms available for the free dining promo). We will pass.

Booked 12/31-1/4 Deluxe tower studio. It wasn’t too bad with doing days after the holiday. Price was in the $800s for duo TPV vs studio standard. Since I don’t know who will go I booked sleeps 4 just in case. I panicked last minute and renewed dh’s AP last week😅

Also they will have reserved seating for the fireworks so skipping TPV is doable this trip. Usually 12/31 I do non view because it’s so dang expensive. Then I splurge another trip.

I really want a penthouse but I need to win the lottery 1st🤣

True for a king that’s your cheapest option. 👍

I think the rooms look good too. They always look even better in person as well.

Sounds good to me!
me too! Four of the nights were $489, which seems like a bargain to be on the Poly grounds.

Has anyone ever slept in those pull down beds like the ones at the Riviera? Am I going to regret this decision? :scratchin:scratchin:scratchin

I did at Riviera in the one bedroom. It had a murphy bed in the living which is where I slept 4 nights. I was happy with it. They are a real mattress vs the sofa beds.
