Resort Thread Disney's POLYNESIAN VILLAGE RESORT

I don't like the exterior or the lobby but I am pretty happy with those rooms. Themed nice and feels poly. Wish it had a tad bit more disney things in it but its DVC tower so not surprised. Pretty nice, although the deluxe studio seems a little small right if you put that bed down? Wonder what the SF is

I also find it ironic with the TV picture they have when you can't even get that channel anymore ( couldn't find it my last trip )

Edit: Didn't realize there was a video. Is there only one sink and faucet in the deluxe studios?? Not a double

Not loving the kitchenette placement in the studio at all. Makes the room seem small. They added a dishwasher, which is interesting. Rooms are nice, though.

Tiny footprint building means they probably needed to really squeeze where they could.

Rooms do look cool though. Limited number of rooms so they don’t get talked about as much, but the Tonga Suites are, in my humble opinion, extremely well done. While dialed back a bit, these new Tower rooms (fit, finish, vibe, feel) remind me of the suites.

I love the kitchenette placement! Best part of the room. Seems really functional.
I can pretty much make my coffee while still lying in bed. :)

BTW… my armchair quarterback construction expert opinion… 12/17 seems like paint will still be drying/be prepared for a rushed finish type of timeline. I know things tend to come together pretty quick in the final phases of construction - but still a ton to do, it seems.

I work in construction... seen much worst come together in less time.

Despite all the beige, we’re hoping to book a one bedroom villa from Jan 12-19. What do you think the likelihood of availability will be when bookings open to the general public on Thursday?

Or are we nuts to contemplate staying there when we don’t even know what the pool / dining situation will be?! I can’t decide what to do!

I’ll probably be lured to book something while cash availability is good, because presumably that won’t always be the case down the road.

Maybe. I’m undecided. 😂

Sorry but the $5,024.25 per night for the 2-Bedroom Penthouse is just nuts unless booking for 7-8 guests.

ETA: the rest of the sentence...
