Fyi for this thread, just got back from Poly on Saturday. Stayed 4/1-4/10. The splash pad was still down/closed the entire time. A lifeguard told me on 4/2 she thought it was going to be open by/on Easter that Sunday, but the whole week came and went with it being closed. Construction on the monorail didnt really affect us. They have some partition walls here and there that are a little annoying in that they force you to walk other places, but overall not bad. Will be so much nicer when the monorail is back at the Poly and fully running to MK and Epcot. We usually took the bus to/from the MK because the monorail at the TTC dumps you all in with the the general population coming to MK for the day so the crowd was a little on the high side. Buses in general were pretty good and increased it seemed to MK, but buses to AK and HS were spotty it seemed. There were two mornings where literally 4 MK busses rolled by before a bus to HS came. Not entirely Poly related, but the Disney mask-police were really in full effect our entire trip. I know that's a sensitive topic and some people would say that's great, and others would say that's not so great. From our perspective, it was overboard and not grounded in commonsense. We saw a calm dad waiting next to us about to board Tower with his family and his one daughter (probably) 8 had her mask down because she was crying and he was explaining to the Tower cast member she has asthma and she was just trying to catch her breath. The Tower guy in my mind could have showed some commonsense and compassion but instead he repeatedly barked about Policy. I would not have been as patient as the father I saw remain calm during the process. Anyway, I digress. The Poly is always great and was this time, but just know its not at its prime with Covid/construction. Kind of amazing Disney has no problem charging full boat there right now, but we paid it so I guess there's a market. I didn't feel like we got good value but we were itching to travel with our family again after spring break '20 was cancelled. Aloha!
