Nothing beats a birthday at WDW! Room advice will be somewhat dependent on your view category. I have done CL (both TPV and GV) several times and have evolved to ask for third floor as my first preference (for the balcony) and close to the lounge as my second preference. I give a range of room numbers as I don't really want to be one of the first few rooms adjacent to the lounge and elevator, but I don't want to be on the far end either. That being said, Hawaii isn't that big relatively speaking so we're not talking about a large distance, just a personal preference. Knock on wood, but I've always been pleased with my room assignments.

I am down to 2 days! Checking in on Friday. Does anyone know which Longhouse exterior is being worked on right now?

We are doing a split stay in April, 3 nights Poly CL and 3 nights CR TPV, and we can't wait. This is our first time staying at either resort and trying club level for the first time. Any tips?

Sounds like a great trip! Enjoy the planning :wizard:.

We can't wait until our first stay at the Poly!

The Poly is amazing, you will love it :goodvibes.

I can't help with CL tips, but wanted to say I hope you have a great birthday trip :).

I am down to 4 days. The week before seems like the longest week ever, but the week of will seem like the shortest!

I hope all of my ducks are in a row as they should be!

I had to cancel my triple split stay March trip. 1 night Pofq/1 night poly/3 nights YC...I would have only spent 1 night at the poly, so I'm not so sad I had to cancel that. Planning it was exhausting!

My husband has now agreed to an October trip...entire stay at the poly!

It has been my dream resort ever since I first dined there a few years back. I always planned at least one meal there on every trip. Now I get to stay there? I'm over the moon!

I was just there and they were working on the monorail side of Rarotonga. It looks like they completed Samoa and Niue. Fiji, Tuvalu and Aotearoa were not done and neither was Hawaii so I would expect to see that go on for quite a few months considering they were starting Samoa 4 months ago.

I have a quick question about staying in a Club Level room at the Poly. After check-out at 11:00AM, are we still allowed to use the lounge later on that same day? We have an evening flight, and I was wondering if we could still enjoy the lounge amenities after going to the park and before leaving for MCO. I believe we can still have our car parked in the Poly's lot until we leave, right? Thank you!

You can access the lounge until midnight of your check out day.

Oh darn!!! We arrive next wed and of course I requested Rarotonga w/balcony! Wondering if I should try to call and change my room request or wait til I get there and see what room is assigned and then request. Room change if necessary?!

As usual, you're awesome!

Thank you for the tips! I have GV and I would like 3rd floor for the balcony. I see from your signature, you have a few stays there, so you must really enjoy it. Looking forward to a change as I usually am over in the Epcot area. Thank you again!

mickeynut1, Thank you for the birthday wishes! So excited to be staying at the Poly!

Yeah, we have had the good fortune of several Poly stays in recent years. It just fits our style well and has provided some great vacation time/memories as family. I personally think Poly CL GV is one of the best values when looking at CL options around WDW given the lounge views. We'll probably be back sometime in October for a quick MNSSHP trip!

We're going to be staying at the Poly for the first time from August 13th-27th.

We're really excited and can't wait for August! We wanted to stay last year but due to the ongoing construction opted for the Contemporary which we loved, but are really looking forward to trying out the Poly :)

I'm sorry you had to cancel for March, but glad you now get more nights at the Poly in October :goodvibes.

We will be trying out Poly DVC studios in September and bringing along Mom and Dad. Very excited!

Hope you have a great trip :wizard:.

You're welcome! The Poly is great, you're going to love it! :)

Congrats on your first upcoming Poly stay :yay:.

Happy planning! :wizard:

We will be staying for a week in Sept., do you think all the pool and room redos will be done by then?

I am hoping the pools will be done by June when we are going. Is there any chance? I'm finding it very difficult to find any information about the Poly.

Nobody has an exact date (at least that they can share), but I think it's VERY likely to be done by June.

Our first Poly stay is in 16 days! My entire family is so excited. We are huge Disney fans, and we have eaten at the Poly but never stayed there.

Out past resorts include the GF, 4 YC stays, Cornado, and POR. I think the Poly will be very different and I can't wait to try it out!
