Looking at Tikiman's website all the original longhouses would be the same size at 415 sq ft some with king beds or the ADA rooms might be differentHey everyone! I had a quick question. With the three newest longhouses now lost to DVC, I was wondering where the largest rooms at the Poly were now? Are they all the same, as seems to be the case, or is there any longhouse with slightly larger rooms? We might be putting 5 in a room and obviously want to most space!
Thinking about longhouses to request when we do our online checkin soon - I think we've decided that convenient location is most important, and that construction won't matter (even if we'd be on the quiet pool side of the building, we figure we've never spent that much time looking out our windows - I don't think the blinds went up once on our last POR trip)...so i'm thinking Niue would be good.
Any opinions?
We stayed at Niue May 20th - 23rd. It was our 4th stay at the Poly and 4th longhouse. We've done Fiji, used-to-be-Tahiti, and Hawaii. Niue was GREAT for the convenience factor! Right by the Ceremonial House and the pools. Sooooo easy to get to the monorail when we woke at 4:45 in time for the 6am MK opening!!! My only request going in had been "3rd floor" b/c I wanted a balcony. Niue only has 2 floors...so no balcony. But it wasn't a big deal at all. The location turned out to be just what we needed for this quick trip.
Have a great trip!
We are planning our next trip for Oct 2016 and cannot wait to rent points so we can stay DVC at Poly!!! We LOVE Ohana and are excited to be on a monorail resort for the first time
We are a family of 5 and will be renting a DVC studio room...which one is better choice for location since we will not be getting the lake view room.
Tokelau will be your best choice for a standard view DVC studio. It has the best location and view out of the 3 for standard view.

What about Standard view, non-DVC? Staying mid- July. I love Niue but with East Pool work, thinking this will not be the best choice.
Thank you!
I still like Niue and Samoa for its location even with pool construction. There are many great views in all the longhouses. It really comes down to preference. I love the views from Fiji but I hate walking around the marina. That is just my opinion. I would rather be where Niue and Samoa are. I was in Samoa facing construction fences in February and I would not have traded its location. I would have been happy in Niue also.
OK help me out here Polynesian lovers. I have stayed at the Boardwalk every year since 2002 but due to a Disney corporate convention we are being moved out of Innkeepers Club Level and there are no current standard rooms available. They have moved us to the Polynesian. We check in next Wednesday and will have Club Level access. I am excited to try something new but still a little hesitant. I have read as much as I can about the resort and we have been there to dine before. Any quick hints with the time crunch would be appreciated!!![]()
