Thanks for the info...she is only 8 but I'm hoping she will be up for it since it's from 8-11. Can my husband ride the monorail to the entrance and we meet there? I'm not familiar with the Monorail lines but I'm guessing that may be the closest point?
Thanks again!

there is no rule you have to be in the park for the whole day

Yes he can ride the monorail to MK hop off and walk up to the bag check/security to meet her. I would do this, if you ride the monorail back to The Poly with her it stops at CR and ticket transportation center before poly then you would have to stop at GF on your way back to MK. Not to mention the bag check and entry back into the park. It would take so much out of your evening I doubt it would be worth going back to the park.

What would be the best way to get to Sea World from the Poly without a car?
There used to be a bus (not a Disney bus it was a lynx bus) that would run from the ttc and Disney springs and go past sea world but I haven't researched that in years and it seemed like a long ride. I would just uber or cab it over no idea how much that would cost. Also I believe you could rent a car for the day from the car care center

Thank you! Yes that would be too much! Hopefully she will be fine :) my husband will be the back up plan! I can text him and he can hop on and meet me at security.

We won't be there all day just from 8-11 for the after hours event. Quite a splurge for us since we were planning on just Epcot for a day but I couldn't resist!!!

Just got back from an AMAZING 4 night stay at the Polynesian Village!

"Pixie dust" was in full force and, because of some plumbing issues in our standard view room at Rarotonga, we were upgraded to a lagoon view room at Hawaii club level!!

Needless to say, it was a once-in-a-lifetime trip (esp after looking up the CL room $$ - yowza!!) and I look forward to figuring out which organs I can live without so I may sell one (or two) to stay club level again!!

Here's a couple of pictures. The Christmas Tree in the Hawaii lounge:

And our view from our room. I can survive easily with one kidney, right?:

Hi all!

More bar questions....I know we won't want to go to Trader Sam's every night, how do you like the Tambu Lounge?
Specifically for an end of night glass of wine about 10 or 11? A nice stop?

Depending on the weather, I'd rather chill at Trader Sam's Tiki Terrace for a night cap like that. But Tambu is a decent option as well although 11 is later than I've ever been there so can't 100% vouch for what it's like that late. In my view the word "Lounge" is a bit of an overstatement for Tambu. It's mostly a bar with an adjacent small seating area, generally full of folks waiting for Ohana. But I would have no problems sitting at that bar for a drink (or three)... some great bar tenders and I find it pretty relaxing... old school Tiki vibe.

In some ways I'd rather spend time at the Tiki Terrace or Tambu over Trader Sam's itself, depending on the time of day, weather, and who I'm with.

Just my opinion, hope that helps!

39 days until we are back! Between getting ready for Christmas and work, I've lost track of time. By the time I've taken down the holiday decorations, it will be time to start packing. With three girls under 7, packing is a complicated affair, but I can't wait!

The trip will be here before we know it! Poly, here we come!

Hi all, we've got a dvc studio in September. We are 3 adults and one 6 year old. My mil will be using a scooter we don't mind it being tight in there but will we be able to fit the scooter in the room? I'll put the table and chairs on the patio or balcony, whatever it takes. Anyone have any experience with this?

Most people park the scooters in the hall. With 4 people, you'll be using at least the bed and the sofa bed, but probably also the murphy bed, which may make things a challenge with the scooter.

Putting the table and chairs on the balcony is really discouraged. It's tough on furniture not meant for outside and increases maintenance costs for DVC owners.

Leaving the scooter in the hall would be great for us just didn't think that would be allowed, thought it would be a fire code violation or something

There's a ton of room in the DVC Poly hallways.
I seriously think they could have easily added another 3' to the studios on each side and still had enough hall space.

The DVC buildings are the newer buildings and have bigger elevators and (seemingly, have not measured) wider halls.

There were multiple scooters parked in the hallway when we were there.

Hey guys, I was wondering what the best New Year's Eve strategy would be to the see midnight fireworks from Poly? We have a 9:30pm Ohana reservation, as we're actually staying at PORS. What time should we make it down to the beach? Thanks!
