We have requested and received a King room 3 times without any problem. We are staying at the Poly for the first time (standard room) in August for our 10th anniversary. I had our TA put a request for a king, which I know isn't guaranteed. Just wondering, is that usually a difficult request to get? I know there aren't a lot of king rooms and I will make the request at online check in also, if it is one of the options.
The beach closes an hour before dark.Hey, can we still watch fireworks on the beach? Just wondering!
See you there!! 4 days for us as well. Our first July 4th trip, and nervous about the crowds and heat, but heck, I'm in WDW! Better than being at home!!!We are 4 days away now from our very first Poly stay! Nervous about being trampled by crowds for 4th of July but otherwise super-excited to try this resort. We are lagoon view CL and have everything crossed for one of the 3rd floor rooms! We're doing a split with 5 nts Poly and the 4 nts BC Club level. Hope to post live so if you have Qs ask away!
Awesome! DD is almost 8 and DS is 5! We will be at the pool most afternoons recharging!!How old are your kids? We've got a 9 yr old girl and 6 yr old boy always looking for friends!
Hi. Does the Poly have a children's playground. I found old info saying they did, but it is not listed on the website. Thanks.![]()
I just got an email from Disney telling me I am able to check in online for my upcoming trip next week.
Thanks to the many helpful posting in this forum, I want to ask for a specific building. When I get to the “Add Room and Amenity” page, all I’m able to choose is upper floor, lower, or near elevator. There is no way to specify a specific building. How is building selection done?
That's our thought as well. We leave tomorrow and will be there through next Wednesday. Little nervous since this is our first time down at a holiday like this but it's Disney!See you there!! 4 days for us as well. That's will be us too- kids are 5 & 7. Our heat/crowd plan is to hangout in the pool or splash area most afternoons.Awesome! DD is almost 8 and DS is 5! We will be at the pool most afternoons recharging!!

I definitely don't see all the building options you saw. Perhaps it's because I'm in a DVC room?
I am not a DVC member. I'm booking as a regular guest to get the extra shower (two daughters). I guess I'll try calling.
