I just made a reservation for Lilo's clubhouse for our trip. Someone had mentioned that characters visit....any truth to that?

Our kids were there in May and while they do not guarantee a character visit, Capt. Hook showed up with his "mate" (not Smee) while my kids were there. They loved the whole experience and wanted to go back again during our visit.

Ok so I have been told that the old bus loop ay DS is now used for busses from the "Good Neighbor" hotels as well as the busses from Shades of Green which I know is located near Poly. So is it possible to walk over to Poly from SOG? I am wondering if it might be quicker to return on the SOG bus if you are in that area of DS instead of walking through Town Center to get back to the Disney Resort bus loop. Some of the bus stops are quite a long walk all around the perimeter of the bus loop.

Hi everyone.
I used the DIS a LOT in 2010 / 11 when I got married at WDW (10/10/10!) and then went back for Christmas 2011
Both times we stayed at the WL
BUT
We just booked for Christmas 2017 at the Poly! We ate there and travelled through there a bunch of times and thought we would give it a go.
Thanks for the pics and info following the refurb. It is really exciting to see!

Could use some help putting my mind at ease. We are staying at the poly for our first time in 23 days. I have this fear of walking on the paths at night after all the alligator talks. It is one of my favorite things to do at wdw. Love the early morning walks for peace and quiet. Now I am so nervous that one will be lurking in the greenery. Oh I am such a worry wart by nature but sure don't want to ruin my trip. Any words of confidence??????? Ugh!!!!

Alligator attacks, in general and ecspecially on adults is extremely rare. Alligators don't want to waste a lot of time and energy trying to attack something they don't feel confident they can catch. It's very rare that you will have an accident on an airplane on the way to Florida, it's equally as unlikely that an alligator will attack. I would google alligator attacks in Florida and read the statistics and instances when it happened. I would not worry at all and would enjoy the resort. I'm going in September and can't wait to stroll the grounds and head to the beach.

So if there's no movie is there also no campfire? Have there always been nights w/ no movies? We usually get in late and get food and watch a movie on our arrival night. I guess we can always swim.
