Disney's Magical Express

Any idea if Allegiant Air allows 16 year olds to fly by themselves? We figured it would be cheaper to fly my DS16 and his two friends to Orlando International Airport than rent a larger SUV for all of us to fit. Also, would Disney's Magical Express still pick them up and take care of getting them to the hotel? If we did the on-line check-in and paid for the other kids' park tickets ahead of time, could they pick those up if they had identification? My DS16 has an annual pass. If not, I suppose they could always ride the monorail and check out the hotels/shops until we got there. It looks like they'd beat us by a couple/few hours.

You have to be 18 to initially check-in at the resort and pick-up the room keys, so if you are using a dining plan, the kids can't eat until you get there, or they can pay cash. I'm not sure about unaccompanied minors on the DME bus...the park busses and monorails, of course, are fine. Most air carriers are fine with unaccompanied 16 year olds, but I would call Allegiant to see if they have any special requirements, and call Member Services to find out about DME.

Your 16-year-old will not be able to check in--it's a FL law, not a Disney policy (I ran into this a few years ago w/my then 17-year-old and a work conflict ...) But your DS and his friends should have no problem riding ME ... at least that wasn't a problem w/my scenario of a few years ago...

Disney's Magical Express doesn't go to the Sanford airport.

JanaStevens, Allegiant now has changed flights from some of their cities from Sanford into MCO, I know because my daughter's city (Springfield, MO) was one that was changed

I wish mine would do that! The time we did fly into MCO using Delta, I loved using Disney's Magical Express . The nonstop Bangor to Sanford is great, but wish it did go into MCO or better yet have Disney's Magical Express pick up at Sanford!

Allegiant flies from here into MCO. DME picks up there, correct?? Sanford is different, right??
