Disney's Magical Express - OFFICIAL FAQ

My 2yo did not have one either. When we checked in, she asked us how many were in our party. We had 4 people and only 3 passes. We told her DS was only 2. She went ahead and printed new passes to include his name. Honestly though, I don't think we even showed the passes to anyone. They just sent us to the line and we boarded the bus. It was no big deal that his name wasn't on it.
Thank you!!!!!! :sunny:

It's a 50/50 thing. In my personal experiences, half the time they surround the motorcoach... half the time they can't be found. Unfortunetly, there is no way for the driver to go and get one for you. They are not allowed to leave thier coach, and there's no phone or anything to call one.

I don't know in any of your jobs you have any input with the Mears/Disney DME people but the rental car return people can page a skycap if a guest needs one. It's a shame there isn't a way the driver can use his radio in the bus to page a skycap if a guest requests it.

I have reservations on Continental Airlines ( a participating airline) with Continental flight numbers, but it is Operated by Northwest Airlines, a Non Participating Airline. How would this effect the Resort Airline Check in Service? I believe airlines do this routinely, and call it ' code share '. Will I still be able to check in at the resort for our return flight/boarding passes? :wave2:

Got my Tags today MJ( my TA) got them last Saturday and sent them right on. 2 weeks to go WOO HOO!!! Everything was crystal clear in the booklet they sent with them.

Given it has a Continental flight number, you get a Continental boarding pass, and you would normally check in at the Continental ticket counter at the airport, then you may use the participating airlines' resort baggage check in counter.

But if it is an non-code shared cross booking even on the same itinerary (the flight number is NWxxx instead of COxxx) and you must check in at Northwest's ticket counter, you would not be able to check baggage at the resort.

How do you get your luggage for a late night arrival? Say we're landing at 10PM, will they deliver the luggage that late?? Or keep it till morning?

Hi All,
My apologies if these questions have been answered again and again on this board but I never really found a definite answer (although I really didn't look TOO hard, either!)

I have two questions....

First, My sister and I are flying from two different cities, meeting in Orlando for a Magical Child-free, Hubby-free glorious 5 days in the Happiest Place on Earth. :cool1: Our incoming flights are within a 1/2 an hour of each other. She has made all the arrangments and is going to Fed Ex me my tags. Will we both need to be present for the Bus Service? How about our outgoing flight? Mine leaves around 11 am, her's not until 7 pm. Is this going to be a problem? I read somewhere all members of the party need to be on the bus. Will we need to make separate reservations? Will she need to wait around the airport all afternoon?

Second, being that my flight doesn't come in until 10 pm, I'd like to have my luggage early than the possible 3 hour wait. We plan on hitting the parks our first morning there and would like to unpack and settle in the night we arrive. Can I just retrieve my OWN luggage, but still use the Bus Service?

Thanks SO much for any help you can give us! This will be our 3rd Sister-Trip and the first time we stay together on Disney Property. Can't Wait! Doing the happy dance :cheer2: with only 9 days to go!

Taking a vacation (NEXT SATURDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!) to WDW, our first trip home to Saratoga Springs. MIL is traveling separately and will be taking ME. It is now six days prior, and NO DME packet.

I know there was some discussion earlier, but what do you guys think I should do Monday morning?

Thanks in advance for the response......

We just got back yesterday, so maybe I can help.

When you make your DME reservations, they ask you about your flights. If your sister gave them the different flights, then they should be expecting you 30 minutes later. If she wants to wait for you, she'll just take the later bus. The same thing for the return. They will typically schedule your pick up for 3 hours prior to your flight. If hers is at 7pm, then they would want to pick her up at, say, 4pm. They will pick you up at around 8am or so.

Yes, you can retrieve your own bags and they will put them on the DME bus. Just don't use the tags that your sister Fedex's you. Have a great trip!

Thanks, Disney Denise! I'm SO glad I can get my own bags! That will help a TON! I appreciate your taking the time to help out! Hope you had a WONDERFUL trip, yourself! :earsgirl:

Don't forget to tip the driver if he handles your bags, even if they are carryon. I tipped $1 per bag. We only had two bags.

I'm pretty certain that they will deliver luggage at any time. We arrived at 8:47 PM and they would have delivered our bags some 3-6 hours later (but we used a car service instead, although in retrospect, I should have grabbed my own bags and used DME to save the $120 limo charge...next time, I'll know better).

Thanks Tyler for trying to answer my question. I did finally find a phone # for OIA and programmed it into my cell phone. Worse case scenario, I can call that number and hope they send a skycap my way.
