Not sure if it needs another bar but it looks nice and stay's true to what the resort is. New carpet time. Can't complain
This is also very important to note... NO GINGERBREAD HOUSE THIS YEAR!

Oh and the Tea Room is getting an update with more details later...

I agree, IDK that it needs a bar there, but oh well.

I hope the marble is salvaged. You can't really see it in the renderings, but the beige/green matches this photo much better than the cooler gray tile upstairs.
Enchanted Rose gets pretty slammed at certain times so I honestly think they do need another bar. I'm just not sold on the location.

Are they actually getting rid of the marble though? It looks like they are just replacing the carpet from this but I could be missing something.

Ugh, we booked GF for December this year specifically to be there super early in the morning to get pictures with the gingerbread house with no one there. That's disappointing.
I imagine a lot of people will be switching this holiday season. I hope it's not permanent like the dream lights...

I 100% agree! It's more the location than the additional capacity I find questionable.

I like the configuration with the tree centered and gingerbread house in front of the Tea Room much better than the old configuration, but who knows what will fit where now.

They didn't say anything official about the marble in the update. They also didn't show any of it or the check-in desk so I am hoping it's untouched.

I guess this LITTLE section still looks beige compared to the gray throughout the rest of the refurbished resort...

BUT I am 99% sure the area by the side staircase has carpeting where the silhouettes used to be... that doesn't show carpeting here...

It’s so funny, we booked an outer building suite bc we were not interested in staying in the main building again -total madhouse! The second I saw this announcement, I went to see if a main building suite was still open 🤣!

Grand Floridian Lobby Enhancements to Begin Next Week

In terms of a timeframe, guests can expect construction to begin soon! The work is expected to begin on Monday, April 14th. The work is expected to take place in phases, meaning that portions of the lobby will be closed to guests at times, likely affecting walkways and seating areas.

Construction is expected to be noticeable during daytime hours, but all pools, dining, and other amenities will remain available. The Garden View Tea Room will also receive enhancements, and Disney will share more details at a later time.

The most notable disruption during the work will be that the renovation will continue through the end of the year, meaning that the popular Grand Floridian Gingerbread House will not be available this year.

Ugh, I arrive on the 22nd... Wasn't expecting construction...

So are we assuming no Christmas tree or decor at all in the lobby this year? Another first stay booked for RPC here.🤦🏼‍♀️
