Disney's FORT WILDERNESS CABINS & CAMPGROUNDS Thread

But, I would recommend taking the golf cart to the marina, then catching the boat over to WL. There are two different flagged boats (clearly labeled), one to MK and one to CL / WL. Then take that boat back again once done.

Forgot about the boat to WL. Sounds like a plan. ;)

I'm so excited that my family will be staying at the Cabins Dec. 12-19! Can someone tell me if the Murphy bed is just as comfortable as the regular double bed? (I don't want my husband and I to be stuck with an uncomfortable bed all week!)

we thought the Murphy bed was very comfortable, three years ago when we were there.

Agree with PP in that the Murphy bed is very comfortable. DW and I had it for the week, with the kids in bedroom.

I know this question has been answered many times, but I am having no luck this morning.....

What type of coffee makers are in the cabins? Should I just get ground coffee and filters?

Thanks. Countdown is under 2 weeks!!

Please ignore. I found the information.

Oh my...I finally see light at the end of the tunnel. We leave 9 days from today and we check into the Fort in 10. :cool1:

I will be here Saturday! I can hardly contain my excitement. And my 3 youngest still don't know!! They think we're going to Colorado.:rotfl2:

We told our kids, when we went 2 years ago, that we were going to Cedar Point and then on to Put-In-Bay. They were a little surprised when we told them we were going to Disney that morning.

I'm pretty far out from my vacation but if you order more than 30 days out, you get a discount. Also, after I placed my order, a lady from there called me to confirm my order (which was pretty large). She informed me that since my delivery time is after check in time Disney will have someone escort them to my cabin and put them away. Sweet!!

I got a call about 10 min. after I placed my order. Such a great feeling to know that there will be food in my cabin when we arrive! pixiedust:

I've already started packing and have included a cookie sheet for those Toll House Cookies from Garden Grocers, lol.

I woke up at 4:30 am for some reason so decided to log in to the BOG FP+ site and yippee got our FP+ in for my :dance3: party of 3 for Oct. 1 between 1:05 and 1:35! Can't wait to see that castle! :tinker:

I also have a breakfast ressie for TE for Oct. 2 and can't wait for those Mickey Waffles! Our trip is so short and we're going to Epcot F&W one day so I only wanted to pin down those 2 dining experiences - 1 for each full day at the parks. With the FDP, I wonder how we'll eat all those meals! I wish we could stay longer to try more dining experiences, but oh well, maybe next time. I'm sure the F&W kiosks will tempt our palates.

There is both a road for buses plus a sidewalk for walking between WL & FtW. Near the stables one must cross the road to find the sidewalk to the south. Distance is less than one mile. Seem more like half a mile. It is a woodsy walk. Might see deer. Take DEET towards sundown. Wave to the Segway tour folks early afternoon. There is also a gravel road-trail between the WL marina and the Ft Wilderness stables area. We travelled it during the Segway tour last year. Consult the excellent jogging trail map on this thread p1-3.

Checking in tomorrow! After planning this trip 9 moths ago I thought it would never get here. :cool1:
