I'm pretty far out from my vacation but if you order more than 30 days out, you get a discount. Also, after I placed my order, a lady from there called me to confirm my order (which was pretty large). She informed me that since my delivery time is after check in time Disney will have someone escort them to my cabin and put them away. Sweet!!

Thank you all for your kernels of wisdom and relating your experiences. We are booked for 6 nights in June, 5 adults in a cabin. While we have been to the world many times, this is our first at FW. So many of my questions have already been answered in the 50+ pages here! Looking forward to it!!

You're right, there isn't a QS at FW, and WL is the closest. You can take the boat, bus or walk over to Roaring Fork at WL.

That is smart of you! I might decide to do this same thing this week as I'm still before my 30 days out. I just think with driving all day to get there that I will be too exhausted to make a Walmart or WD run. We're taking some non-perishable things but really would like to grill burgers our first night there and just relax at the cabin. We won't arrive until after 4 pm I bet. I don't want to waste any other day going shopping for food, either. I imagine the stores will be crowded after 4 pm anyway.

Hey everyone! I have a few ADA questions. We will have a car.

If we are at a cabin and someone in our party has a scooter:

1. What is the easiest way to get to Hoop De Doo?
2. Should we plan on driving to all the parks and waterparks and not taking bus or boats?
3. We have an ADA cabin reserved. Which section should we request?

1. Option 1: Bus; Option 2: Ride the ECV all the way. Option 3: Drive that person to the last loop and let them out and then the driver drives back to the cabin and walks/buses back. Option 3 could be difficult, as you could be in the way of someone trying to get in and out if that loop, plus then the driver has to walk/bus all the way back.

We only had my sister's rollator the last time we were at FW and going to HDDR. She was fine without it for going to HDDR since we were going back to the cabin. We just got to the Settlement early so we could find her a place to sit. Since we had a golf cart we used that to get around. If she had been in an EVC, we would have either used the bus or If her EVC was charged, she and I would have used the sidewalks and my parents would have used the bus or golf cart.

2. Except for MK, we drove to all the parks as it was quite simple and fast. We enjoy arriving at MK by boat so we never even thought about driving to TTC for MK.

3. We were in an accessible cabin in loop 28 near the entrance. It was perfect for getting in and out going to the parks.

If you can afford it, a golf cart makes getting around MUCH easier -- although I don't think they make one that seats more than 4 or 5. Since the cabins have a full kitchen and a real refrigerator, I would highly suggest you hit a nearby grocery store and at least pickup breakfast supplies, snacks, water and adult beverages as it will save you a ton of time and money. There is a gas grill and a nice deck with picnic table should you feel the urge to cook -- we have every so often just to have a quieter night. Use the ferry boats to go everywhere. You can take the bigger ferry boats to go to MK, the smaller ones go to WL and CR. Take the smaller one to CR and then hop on the monorail to the TTC, get off that monorail and get on the one for Epcot. You can then take a friendship boat to DHS. The only place you would need to drive to would be AK or the water parks.

We will be staying in cabin at FW in September. 2 adults/3 children. We are driving, so we will have our car. For early morning rope drops, are there any parks you would suggest driving to and parking instead of using disney transportation? Not sure if it is important to note, but we plan on being at each park 30 minutes before rope drop, so could we assume the parking lots at the parks should be fairly empty?

I see several people suggest golf carts. They are great at FW! Since you're driving down another option would be to bring your bikes with you to bike to the boat dock from your cabin/campsite. It's an easy bike ride and saves a lot of time. They have bike racks by the marina & bus stop to leave it at while you're in the parks. This is assuming the children are old enough to ride a bike though

Hello I have a question about the golf cart rules. We will be bringing our own golf cart with us. Do we need to purchase a permit or something from Disney in order to bring our own? Also we have $50,000 insurance coverage on our cart due to other campgrounds we visit, will this be enough for Disney ? Thanks for any help with these odd questions!

No discount for a week, at least not one that I heard about while booking. We are going to have one for the week. I figured that even with the golf cart the cabin still has more room and is cheaper than staying in a deluxe resort.

I know this has been asked before (sorry ) but I can't find the answer. On arrival day (we should be there by noonish) we are wanting to go to Roaring Fork at WL for lunch. How far is the walk between FW and WL? We will take our golf cart as far as we can and then walk it. Also, do you know how much it is to have housekeeping do your laundry? I am trying to make sure that I take enough clothes. However, I assume on some days we will be doing 2 outfits. One for the park and one for dinner later in the evening. I don't want to take time out from the parks to do laundry. Might be easier to have them do our laundry. Just wondering how much it is.

I can answer half your question. You will have no issue bringing your own, no permits required. You may get asked a few extra questions as you first enter, as Disney is doing their best to prevent other companies from delivering golf carts to the resort. There is an overflow lot where you can park your trailer once you get there and unload. I have never seen a question about the insurance, so no assistance there.

In regards to lunch at WL, there is a path between the resorts, but they have signs indicating WDW buses only. I don't know if that also means walkers. Since I have seen it as part of running trails, I think pedestrians are allowed. Hopefully someone can answer better.

But, I would recommend taking the golf cart to the marina, then catching the boat over to WL. There are two different flagged boats (clearly labeled), one to MK and one to CL / WL. Then take that boat back again once done.
