Interested as well because we're staying with 4 adults, 8, 7, and a 2 year old. My family is pretty low key and well be in the parks most of the time. Interested in responses though!
First suggestion, which we utilized a lot -- find out where the nearest "comfort station" is to your cabin -- i.e. extra toilets should you need them. It has been 14 years since I last stayed in the cabins but if I remember correctly, the comfort stations also had showers too.
As I recall the "bedroom" had a fullsize as well as bunkbeds and the living room had a pulldown murphy bed that was a fullsize. The plus side was that there is a nice large deck with a gas grill and a picnic table should you choose to do some meals at the cabins.
But as I said, with 3 adults, an 8 year old and a toddler, we had to manage the space wisely -- including suitcase storage -- we had a rental car and left the bags in the trunk as we also had a golf cart. If budget can afford it, I highly recommned the golf cart as it made transportation around the resort much easier and more fun.
If the opportunity presents itself, I will definitely stay in the cabins again -- but lately its just been 2 or 3 of us, and no need for a cabin.
I did some research as I thought we had the rule that the boys got showered and ready for the day in the comfort stations and the paragraph below confirms that:
"There are 15 comfort stations strategically located through the campground. Many loops have their own comfort station; however, some of the smaller loops share a single, centrally located station. The comfort stations are all air conditioned and include private showers, restrooms, laundry rooms, pay and house phones, and ice machines ($2 per 7 lb. bag). They are open 24 hours a day, with the exception of the laundry. The comfort station doors have security locks that are activated from midnight to 6 a.m. The comfort stations are clean and are cleaned at least once a day. If you experience any problems, you can use the comfort station's phone to call the front desk. "
