Have some disappointing news guys.. DH just got off the phone with Beachline and Disney has put the kabosh on all outside rentals unless you can haul them in yourself. Apparently Disney went so far as to confinscate a golf cart from some company who was foolish enough to rent a campsite and do business from it.
So basically, unless you have your own vehicle and can pull a trailer you are SOL.
Hi all,
We are going to be staying in the FW cabins in Nov. I've read that the golf carts are recommended because they don't want people driving around in FW. We were not planning on renting a golf cart at all (too expensive). We are driving so we will have our own vehicle.
Does that mean that we won't be able to drive to the parks and back each day? I thought one advantage of staying in Disney was that we could park free at the parks. I know there is the boat for the MK, but for some of the other parks we were planning on driving because it seems like it would be quicker and more convenient for our family.
I will be there August 30th through September 8th.Are you staying at the Cabins? Looks like we check in right after you. How long will you be there?
I will be there August 30th through September 8th.
This really sucks though because Disneys carts are soooo expensive. Does anyone know if a 4 seater would fit 6 if two are a skinny 8 year old and a 6 year old?

We have a golf cart with our camper, and fit 6 on it all the time!! It is 4 adults a 10 year old and a 6 year old (none of us a on the skinny side either). It is a tight fit, but we make it work![]()

I don't get it, though. If you can rent strollers, cameras, scooters, wheel chairs etc.. off site and they ALLOW it, why can't they let freaking golf carts be rented from off site?
That too! I can rent an RV and have it set up on my site before I even arrive.. why the difference??That's a really good question. I get that it's private property and Disney gets to make the rules. But this is ridiculous. What's the difference between someone who owns their own cart and brings it with them and me renting from offsite and bringing it with me? Are they going to stop allowing offsite RV rentals as well unless you can tow or drive it in yourself?
No, you can drive to the parks. That's what we do, too. You just can't drive around the resort. To get to the pools you would have to walk or take an internal bus. Most people take the internal buses to the main spot and then take a bus to the parks or the boat to Magic Kingdom. You can not drive to the boat dock to Magic Kingdom.

Does Disney offer RV rentals?

nardoneje said:Not that I am aware of. This is some offsite thing DH was looking at. They'll even theme up the RV if requested.
There's the difference. By allowing rental RVs they are able to rent a spot to someone who doesn't own an RV that they otherwise wouldn't have. More $$$ for them.
Conversely, if they allow outside cart rentals to someone who doesn't own one that's less $$$ for them.
I don't think it's a cool thing to do, but that's most likely why.
