Disney's Endurance Series

:goodvibes
Like the Minnie anyone can run the race. Disney call the men that they are running for a women in their lives(ie mother, wife, etc). They want everyones money.

Thank you for all of your help :)

If I can get myself on a program, I am going to consider it. Since the races never closes, it only makes it better!!!

Again, thank you!:goodvibes :goodvibes

I don't want to play in the mud with you:sad2:

Rent Stripes and I would like to be John Candy if I was going to play in the mud:rolleyes1

Isn't that the part where he says, "We're not gay but willing to learn". Just before the pretty girl beats the crap out of him in the mud pit?

Evil Panda:hippie:

So I am hoping that what Robert says is true and that the Minnie never fills - because the way money is lately its going to be awhile before I can get the money to register. I definately don't want to miss the Minnie. I am hoping my neice is able to do the 5k with me but I want to do both races.

As far as the Muddy Buddy - my DH mentioned something about it the other day. I just don't like that its the weekend after the Minnie - I don't know if I can swing 2 trips that close together.

This race never fills? Is that the reason why they are ending it this year? Is there anything taking its place?

They have had the race for 2 years now. The first year it was full and the second year it wasn't. I guess the trend is it won't fill up but you can never be sure. I don't think RFTT fills up either so it isn't like all their races fill up.

Well the obvious solution is to just stay the week in between them. ;) That way you only have to make one trip. :lmao:

So I guess it looks like the Inuguaral races fill up and then the years after they don't (well besides the Marathon and the half)

And that would be nice to stay a whole week at WDW - I have never done that before - my longest stay so far is 4 nights. I would be on :cloud9: but I don't think my bank account would agree with that!!! LOL

Sorry to be a bother, BUT:

1 - how are the crowds for this?
2 - is it worth staying the whole weekend for the expo? or is the expo nothing?

I know that I have a million questions, but this is all new to me AND my friend said that she is now willing to do it with me :)

1. The crowds around the parks are pretty big(by my standards) because Flower & Garden plus some schools being out(at least a woman at our table at Biergarten mentioned).

2. The expo really isn't anything at all. Especially compared to the marathon weekend. Check out my photos on my website http://www.disneyrunning.com/07minniephotorm.html

Keep asking questions!

Your photos make everything so REAL!! It looks like you and everyone else really had a great time, most important your pictures reflect that everyone regardless of their shape and/or size can do it:)

I honestly think for me personally the 15K is what I can handle, the 1/2 maybe next year depending if I can do this.

Have you ever done the 5K and the 15K back to back?

We did both races this year. This year the 5K was at DTD, SSR, and OKW. 2008 it will be at EPCOT. Very fun doing both races and if you come to do one, you have to do both:)

Here are my pics from the 5K http://www.disneyrunning.com/07minniephotorm1.html and the 15K http://www.disneyrunning.com/07minnie15kphotorm.html .

My only thing that may be a problem is the money. In Sept we were in Disney for 9 days, we are DVC members which is great. We have an exchange student from Germany and we wanted to show her the love of Disney (and she too is in love with Disney). Plus, we are going back this month too for 5 days. And lastly as a DVC member my points are gone (with 2 trips), and I won't have any available until after Sept.

If my girlfriend goes with me, and I leave DH and 4 children (exchange student will be back in Germany) the cost won't be too bad. However, if my whole family goes that is when things get expensive.

Are their packages for this event?

Anthony Travel is the official group for the Minnie. They have some different options at http://www.anthonytravel.com/minniemarathon08.cfm .

I have the DVC Minnie app on my website at http://www.disneyrunning.com/MinnieMarathonCastDVC08RegForm.pdf . At least you could save $5 per race.

Thank you again, last question I promise! :)

What is with the Princess package? Is there something else going on, I remember you saying that a Princess Marathon is next year (possibly) or is that what the perks are called if you book through Anthony travel?

I enjoyed the expo for the Minnie weekend. I've never been for marathon, but it was a decent size. It was geared toward women, with Her Sports & Fitness, Gracies Gear, Keep Moving, Adventure Babe there with booths. There were different speakers & demos. It was a neat experience.

The map for the 08 5k is now back up. But now it appears the 15k map is missing. Go figure.

Yes Robert the map you posted is the same as the one that they show for the Go Red for Women 5k Sat May 3, 2008

That looks great! I would love to be in EPCOT with noone there running from country to country-without a passport no less!

I was thinking of booking using points at BWV or BCV, if it is available, but the points are so high for a weekend. The Anthony Travel deal seems reasonable. I wish it was a closer resort, though.

Has anyone had experiences w/ Anthony Travel?

Also, why is the 2008 the last Minnie Marathon?

I have the 08 15K map at http://www.disneyrunning.com/07Minnie15Kmap.pdf

I have heard good things from people using Anthony. I have Mega DVC points so only use them.

I heard that Disney was disappointed with the attendance. I hear they are replacing it with a "Princess" themed 1/2 in 09?
