Resort Thread Disney's CORONADO SPRINGS Resort

Going again in March for long weekend, me, hubby and 2 adult kids, and we'll have a car -- stayed here twice before but not in the Tower. Do we try it this time or stick with one of the villages ? Don't think we'll use the pool with a short visit/weather but does using a car make a notable difference? (and we aren't going to MK)

If you can afford I would stay in the Tower, no question. You have two of the best/bar lounges on Disney property in the Tower itself along with a hugely underrated restaurant - Toledo. Indoor walkway to the food court, two more restaurants and the gift shop!

Plus it's just luxe and gorgeous.

3rd time staying there this weekend. Requested the Cabana's which we never stayed.

Weekend will be mostly pool time with the weather and then on to another resort for the rest of the week.

TIP: I got a better rate calling the main number and requesting the cheapest room available which was a non-discounted room. The website keeps directing you to the 25% off spring discount, which with the rooms left with discounts, was higher.

Follow up TIP: Keep checking back on the website. Just got the up to 25% the standard room. (Technically about 8%)

It’s a cookie thing with the website. Your discount was so low as Fri, Sat are not included in the currrent discount. CSR also has a weird thing where king rooms are sometimes separated out for higher discounts. Made my tower king room actually cheaper this summer than a tower 2Q room.

Based on your link, I would say I got 15% one night (sunday).

I should have left today and gotten another pool day at 80+ degrees.

We absolutely love the tower. We are from the uk and stayed a few years ago.We have since bought DVC but we have good deals on packages with free dining when buy 14 day tickets etc. We have a mega trip 3 week trip booked for May with a Disney Wish concierge cruise booked, CL at Grand Floridian and a week at Beach club villas using our DVC points. We love the Tower so much we have a week booked at the start with free dining at the start of the trip. It really is a fabulous resort.

I'm attending a scrapbooking convention off site and plan to scrapbook with my mom at the hotel the days we're not at a park. I thought there was a table and two chairs in the rooms, but when I checked the room photos, it looks like a long desk with one chair. Do any of the buildings (not the tower) have a table & chairs? If not, are there any places on site that might have tables where we can craft for a few hours? Or should I go to a different resort?

There is a hallway connecting Gran Destino to the old lobby. The old lobby is filled with tables, chairs, sofas and desks! That should work.

I think it may be decorated differently now, but here is a picture.
