Sorry, GDT is Gran Destino Tower and the main check in area is there. I don’t have any further info on current pick up/drop off areas unfortunatelyI have a similar question. First of all, what does GDT stand for?
We have reservations for two rooms at Coronado Springs for Standard View rooms in early October. Have no idea which building we will be in, but pretty sure it will not be in the tower. Is there a way to find out ahead of time which building we will be placed in? We have a private driver picking us up at MCO and returning us there after the trip. Does each building have a check-in lobby, or is there one central place that we need to go upon arrival?
I’ve got two nights at CSR and was wondering about Uber pick up. I’ve read varying reports of having to be picked up/dropped off at the GDT to being able to pickup/drop off in the car park near your building.
Anyone with recent experience know the current situation?

Thank you very much. Very helpful! When we last stayed there many years ago, we were in one of the other buildings, or so I thought. We checked in the building with the Mexican restaurant inside.
How do we get to one of the other buildings from the GDT check-in? We are very sad that Disney no longer has the included transportation when staying in a resort. So much easier!
Based on what you are saying for room availability, I think we are going to wait and check-in when we get there. Want to make sure that our 2 rooms are near each other.
I just remembered that my daughter has ordered a stroller to be delivered to CSR. We also plan to have Amazon Fresh deliver snacks and supplies. That may be a pain getting it over to our room.
I picked up my Instacart order at Bell Services but I was still charged the $6 fee...so I guess once it arrives at their counter you pay the fee and if you have Bell services deliver your order to your room you have to tip them and then the $6 fee is still added to your room. Actually you end up tipping them whether you pick up order or have them deliver...Yes, our beautiful El Centro Lobby

No MDE is very much a bum deal. But onsite bus transportation at CSR is still very good and efficient.
From GDT to El Centro: take the stairs or elevator down from the GDT lobby and follow the hallway to El Centro. Or you can exit outside and follow the path.
In-person check-in is what I would do with connecting or nearby rooms. Just to make sure. I would also make sure to have it noted on the reservations.
For MAIL delivery (including Amazon Prime): items are picked up at the Business Center within the Convention Center with a $5 fee added to the room folio. Just know their hours are M-F 9am-5pm. This past May the Business Center texted me beforehand, so being outside those hours, I asked to have it sent to Bell Services.
For FOOD delivery: items are delivered to Bell Services. If you choose to have it delivered to your room, a $6 fee will be added to your room folio. Or you could avoid the fee by picking it up in person.
Welcome back home![]()

I was sure I wasn’t supposed to be charged the $6 fee but I didn’t notice until I was back home an saw the charge on the bill they emailed me after checkout...I’m going to be sure to check next time before I leave the resort. If you picked up your groceries from Bell Services, you should not have been charged the $6 fee.

Getting Grocery Orders Delivered to Your Disney Resort Hotel Room
Grocery deliveries are subject to the Disney Resort hotel’s policies and may be unavailable, limited or restricted. If the delivery service vendor requires age or ID verification, Guests are required to meet and accept delivery directly from the vendor; Disney Resort hotels will not accept delivery of such orders on behalf of any Guest.
For other grocery orders delivered to the Disney Resort hotel during your vacation, a $6 fee will be charged to your room account for each grocery delivery order brought to your room by Bell Services or Luggage Assistance. Alternatively, these deliveries may be picked up in the Resort Lobby from Bell Services or Luggage Assistance at no charge.
We are using a car service and landing around 9 pm. I assume I’ll have my room number by then. Can our driver take us to our building or do we have to be dropped off at GDT?
Hired drivers are only allowed thru the main gate to drop off and pick up in front of GDT.
CSR has another restricted gate to access the remaining 3 areas (Casitas, Ranchos, Cabanas). However, this is for buses, resort guests, or family/friends of resort guests only.
The front desk is located inside GDT. That is the only checkin area.
Assuming your room is not ready when you arrive, Bell Services is located outside GDT to the right and can hold your luggage until (also assuming you are signed up for online check-in) you receive the text that your room is ready.
You could always bypass online checkin and head to the front desk to see if a room is ready. They can tell you which building you have been assigned, but not a room number until it’s ready.
GDT standard rooms have its own category. Regular standard rooms are located within Casitas, Cabanas, and Ranchos.
I answered someone else on this subject. Here’s my post
Thank you!!! I did read that the yesterday and forgot that quickly!
Will bell services then help us with our bags and grocery order (we are stopping at Publix on our way)?

I’m currently staying at Coronado for the first time since 1999. GDT is really, really nice.
It’s great that Barcelona Lounge and Three Bridges are open until midnight, unlike bars at most Disney resorts. We got in late and we’re able to get a drink and some food.
