Resort Thread Disney's CORONADO SPRINGS Resort

Is the gym open 24/7 or are there specific hours?

I've searched online and most sites say 24/7 but the Disney site says 6am-9pm.

Waited over an hour this afternoon for a bus back from DS☹️

Yikes, over an hour is not good. I can count on one HAND the issues we’ve had with CSR buses, and it’s usually pickups at the parks.

Edit - hand, not finger! Lawd, I’m getting old 🤣

Here now and had dinner this evening at 3 Bridges...I was there when they opened and let them seat me at a table partially in the sun and of course within 15 min I was sitting in full very hot sun! I can’t really complain about this because my server did ask if I wanted to be moved and I should done so But didn’t. i ordered the burger which was very good but there was a table of 3 seated behind me who totally monopolized our server with conversation and numerous requests so that was the end of my good service! I had asked for a small box for a half of my burger which was now just sitting in the hot sun my server didn’t bring the box and I finally got another server to get one for me but she brought a large box for a small item. By the time my server did bring something smaller I was afraid to take the burger since it had been sitting the sun so long. I was also disappointed because I wanted a frozen drink and was told they had no blender. The server tried to sell me another drink but no thank you. All in all a very disappointing experience...
went to MNSSHP last night and enjoyed our evening. Ride lines were not too long, parade was great, fire works not quite as good as party prior to Covid but enjoyable I remember those fire works being 360 around the perimeter of the park with some green and purple fireworks included. We did the Tomorrowland Terrace seated dessert party which I’m not sure I’d recommend because while it was nice to have a seat...desserts were not that great and the low roof blocked the tops of the higher fireworks . We did see some platters of fruit and treats brought out for people who had dietary restrictions that looked really good. The party was sold out but didn’t really feel crowded other than around the hub area. There were still quite a few people around at 12:00. Seriously though I remember those parties prior to Covid being super crowded where you could barely move and sold out crowd at party last night was significantly less crowded than those parties.
the TOT lines would get long immediately following the parades and fireworks but lines moved quickly all evening and the CMs at the Laugh in attraction were really generous giving handfuls of candy.
Busses seemed pretty good from the resort to parks but not so great returning from the parks. Busses back and forth to DS were terrible at least yesterday and today. I noticed they did have a CM monitoring the busses in the morning from the Cabanas stop and I know some people were complaining that busses went right by them already full in the morning. We are looking forward to dinner at Steakhouse 71 tomorrow and Sebastien’s Bistro and O’Hana’s later in week.

I had originally requested a ground floor room in Ranchos because we love the pool there but when we arrived I went to front desk and explained why I had requested Ranchos and asked if we could possibly get a room in Cassitas 4 or 5 to be close to the bus stop that picked up first for the parks. The CM checked and was able to put us in Cassitas 5. Our room is pretty close to the bridge to El Centro and to bus stop 2. A good location for us this trip. I actually would be happy to stay in any of the buildings. I’ve stayed a few times at GDT and I do love the views from the floor to ceiling windows in the tower and the rooms are more spacious. staying in the tower is definitely an advantage during thunderstorms when you have access to restaurants without going outside. However, I really love the landscaping and the close proximity to the pools offered by the villages surrounding the lake it’s just so peaceful and beautifu.

Is the Ranchos quiet pool still closed? We will be there next week and were hoping for a ground level by that pool but if it's closed forget it.

Yes the Ranchos pool is closed. Im taking an Uber to Steakhouse 71 for dinner tonite so when I go to lobby I’ll find out when it opens again I think it’s closed thru Sept. but I will ask.

Much appreciated! Last I heard was late September which is pretty vague.

I'm with you on staying in the villages for the ambiance. It is very peaceful and not as bustling as the tower although I've never stayed in the tower so I'm going off what I've seen in vlogger videos. Last time we stayed at CSR in 2018 we were in Cabanas and our door opened right to the quiet pool. I sat in that pool for hours by myself watching them build the tower. It was very relaxing and educational. I imagine that pool is much busier these days being the closest to the tower.

For what it's worth we stayed at Yacht Club for a split stay in 2018 then again in May 2021 and the buses from parks and DS were just as bad as other places both trips. I think it's just hit or miss. The beauty of staying over there though is that we could take a bust to Boardwalk, Swan and Dolphin, or Beach Club if they had more buses running which happened twice. Once coming from Animal Kingdom and once from Disney Springs. Very frustrating when you are paying that much for the resort but a little easier to swallow at CSR.

Hi guys! I just booked the preferred rooms and I wanted to clarify that those are the casitas? If not I will just book standard . Thanks so much!
