Resort Thread Disney's CORONADO SPRINGS Resort

Do you think we will need reservations for any of the restaurants at the resort? For our 7 days, I only have 3 dinner reservations else where and plan to eat (and drink :)) at the resort a few nights.

Three Bridges no, Maya Grill, and Rix Sports Bar, no. Toledo yes,

So we booked a standard view 2 queen in the villages - we would like to be as close to restaurants as possible due to DH recovering from chemo, are there any standard view rooms is Casitasas? Or are they all in Cabanas? If I call and explain our situation will they be able to put us in a close room? We will be spending most of our time at the resort.
If the tower or Preferred are not an option, if I were you I'd put in a request for Casitas 4.

It is still near the best bus stop AND it's a short walk to El Centro and you can make that walk under cover.

We have stayed at most resorts and have found CSR the absolute best at assigning rooms per our requests.

Thank you, this is very helpful.
We are not concerned with the bus stops very much for this part of our trip - we will be staying at the swan for the first 4 days of our trip and hitting the parks then.
Coronado is part 2 of our trip - we will pick up a rental car before moving over there, - we will spend a good part of our time leaving Disney and traveling to Clermont to watch our DD play college softball, we chose Coronado because of all the dining choices and the 25% off room only discount,

Dahlia is fantastic. Are you looking for something off of the resort?
I was thinking at the resort but I just stumbled across a top 20 list. 2 at CSR were #10 and #11.

What's in your top 5 at WDW?

At CSR, your options are Rix Sports Bar, Dahlia, Barcelona, Laguna, Siestas, and Three Bridges.

I just got an email about online check-in but it says this:

To enjoy the ease of a simplified arrival at your Disney Resort hotel, use the Online Check-In service now. Then use the My Disney Experience app or a MagicBand+ (linked to your My Disney Experience account) to unlock your door.

Does that mean my standard MagicBand (non plus) will not unlock my door?

Standard magic band works the same as a plus to open the door. They really don’t sell the standard or old school bands anymore

Where can I look to find out how late the various restaurants, lounges, etc., at CSR are open? We land at MCO at 7pm, will have checked baggage and a rental car, so I don't anticipate leaving the airport before 8, and we probably won't get to our room until 9. Will we be able to get some food at CSR that late, or should we stop on our way to the resort?

I wouldn’t count on it but Toledo was open at 11 two nights during my last trip.

Having experienced flight delays, baggage delays and traffic, I'd say... to be sure you have something to eat... I'd get something on the drive in. I really love CSRs restaurants, so if it all went according to plan, that would be great, but I don't remember the last time the happened. Hope you have a great trip!

Well there are a couple of options. I would suggest you review the menus for Three Bridges (To Go or Walk-up) it is open until 12 AM. Maya Grill (TS) is an option but it closes at 10 PM. El Mercadao is open until 11 PM (QS). Finally there is Rix Sports Bar which is open until 11 PM (Walk-up & Reservations).
