Disney's CORONADO SPRINGS RESORT Information & Questions

We were in 6B last year.
I didn't mind being in the boondocks but my Wife has knee and hip problems and walking to El Centro was a chore after a day at the parks.
I requested the Cabanas this year.
But then again, I requested the Cabanas last year and got Ranchos. :rolleyes2

Unfortunately the only way to guarantee being close to El Centro is to book preferred. You can request a certain section or building, but it is only a request.

While I can't help with Casitas recommendation....what did you all think about the business class? We are staying in a king bc this time around. Thanks!

Love, love, love business class. Most recently stayed there last month and hopefully going back next week. Business Class is worth every penny. Love the lounge with comp beer, wine and sangria in the evenings and love the morning breakfast. This is our go to resort now. We feel it is the best moderate.

Sorry for questions, I have tried to read to find answers!

Leaving for Coronado in a week, attending conference, and have never stayed at Coronado

How long has it been since refurbishments? --asking because of allergies and asthma
Is there a great water view room
And can I pay extra separate from conference for an upgrade?
(Have rental car-not worried about buses, or walking distance). Prefer best room choice!
Thank you so much!

Got a strange question

We check in to a BC room today.
We've been at BWI so we are leaving here and heading to HS for the day.
We'll leave there and go to CRS
Where do we get off the bus to check in?
Since we haven't been to the resort yet we have no idea

About 5 years on refurbishments.

The hotel has exterior hallways, so water view doesn't mean a lot.

Coming back from any of the parks the buses go all the way around the resort with the last stop being El Centro, which is where you go to check in. The BC rooms are in the closest building to El Centro, so maybe a 3 - 4 minute walk away. Hope you have a great stay in BC.

As stated by PP you get off at the El Centro stop. You'll know its the main stop when you get there, it's a much bigger stop and you pass through the security gate right before it.

Question....what are you doing with your luggage from BWI? Is Bell Services transferring it to CSR?

About the bus...when you exit the bus you will have to walk to the right to go to check in. Very short walk. Or, the more scenic walk is if you head down the path behind where the bus stop and make a left before you get to the bridge and you can get to registration that way (you can see Lago Dorado...the lake). Cabanas 9B would straight ahead over the bridge on the right if you didn't make the left towards registration/check in.

Sorry if this has already been covered...am I right in thinking there will be ATMs at El Centro? If so, can anyone possibly tell me what the charge is for using them?

Yes there is an ATM. I don't know what the charge is. With The invention of Magic Bands we didn't need much cash the last couple of years.

Thanks. We do plan on charging most things to our magic bands but could do with some cash when heading offsite :)

Can anyone tell me what kind of yogurt they sell at CSR, and if they have almond milk?

They have Almond milk at Panchitos. I really should know the brand of yogurt as I eat my share, but I don't remember. Being from Canada it was different brands than we have here, but it was just as tasty! :)

I ate yogurt every morning in the BC lounge and it was the same stuff that was available at Panchitos and Rix Cafe. I just don't remember the brand.

Thanks! Last trip I had a Garden Grocer order, but as we will be on the dining plan this time, I don't want to have to order anything special.

We stayed at CSR Jan. 31 - Feb. 2. It was our first time at CSR and we thought it was a beautiful resort. We had great experience with bussing despite staying in the Cabanas.

A few things we experienced/observed...

1. Check in. We did online check-in and a few days prior to arriving I received an email which supposedly allowed us to bypass checking in at the lobby. However, when we arrived we were directed to the regular check-in desk. Not a big deal since it was in the morning and lines were short.

2. Luggage Services. Because we didn't receive our ME luggage tags until several days after we returned home, we had to retrieve our luggage at the airport and take it with us on ME. We checked our bags and were told we could call and have them delivered to our room (when it was ready) but we would have to be there for them to be delivered, which we did. I called and inquired how long it would take and was told "up to 40 minutes". After an hour, I called back and they told me it would be at least an hour. Quite frustrating, so we walked up and retrieved the bags and got back to the room in less than 15 minutes. As we walked past the desk in the lobby, there were 3 cast members standing around doing nothing.

3. We requested Cabanas and but were placed in Ranchos. The CM made a quick call and said if we didn't mind waiting, we could get a room in Cabanas. We were happy to wait as we were heading to the park anyway. We finally got the text our room was ready after 5pm. The surfaces were greasy and it felt like they sprayed the room down to freshen it, and everything seemed damp. However, the room was cleaned better the next day by housekeeping, including getting rid of the smeary nightstand, dresser, etc.

4. Honestly, the rooms are quite worn and not nearly as nice as I expected. I found our past rooms at Pop and ASMo to be much cleaner and much less wear and tear. However, I felt the bedding was much more comfortable at CSR, and we enjoyed the design, ceiling fan and wooden sliding doors. We lucked out and got a corner room so two windows which was nice.

5. Hot tub was open 10a - 8p so we couldn't use it because we stayed till park close each night. Would like to have used it after a day in the parks.

6. Bus service was excellent. We never encountered standing room only buses, and always got a seat even though we boarded at Cabanas. We especially liked that the CSR bus stops were so much closer at the parks than what we've experienced staying at values. Plus, the drive to the parks seemed much shorter this trip.

7. We are commandos and never take time to enjoy the resorts or pools. Despite the fact this was a 2 night, 3 day trip, we cut our park time early on our departure day and spent all afternoon enjoying the pools and resort which was really nice!

8. We got to see several alligators around the resort (in and near the water), which was cool for us Wisconsinites.

Overall, we would definitely stay here again. It's so pretty and relaxing.

Any questions?
