I would be at the bus stop at 6:30
You'll probably be early but that affords you time to leisurely stroll in and to stop for pictures

Perfect, thank you! As we're from the UK we should be up early anyway with the time difference :)

joining the party (again!) at CSR! we'll be in a preferred King room from 18-22 April, and I can't wait. we stayed in the Cabanas section last May (business class), and looking forward to trying the casitas this time around :)

are there any building recommendations y'all would suggest? we just booked but online checkin is around the corner! hah

While I can't help with Casitas recommendation....what did you all think about the business class? We are staying in a king bc this time around. Thanks!

We have stayed business class 3 times so far with our most recent stay this past October and think it's worth every penny. Location of the Cabanas section is great, the lounge is a decent size and the offerings were very good. Having stayed Club Level several times in different resorts we like to think of CSR's business class like a club "light".

Heading back there again this October for another F&W trip...can't wait!

I liked business class, and I would stay there again. the location is fantastic--depending on what works best both the cabanas and el centro bus stop are really convenient, and you're also close to the pool (one of my concerns about the casitas is being further from it, but we'll see how it works out) we were always in the lounge right when it opened for coffee--I think we had breakfast there about half the time, other days heading to el centro for Mickey waffles (I'm a sucker for them). it was the first trip I didn't get an RFID mug, and I really loved taking coffee to the park in the morning and not having to carry the plastic cup all day. we took an afternoon break most days, and usually timed it so we could grab a drink before heading back to the park, which was nice. the afternoon snacks weren't amazing (we stayed club level at the HRH at universal, and it would have been possible to make a meal from their spread. not so at CSR, but the snacks will tide you over until your dinner plans).

I'm not sure if this is about BC or not, but we had the most amazing housekeeper during our visit. my partner always brings a stuffed animal and usually picks more up on the trip. each day the animals got up to some kind of mischief in the room, and we were seriously excited to see their mishaps each day. halfway through the trip we walked out of the room and saw our housekeeper. she said "oh, there's no children in your room!" and we laughed but figured that was the end of the hijinx. we got back from the parks that afternoon to find the most elaborate setup yet, and something each remaining day. like I said, I don't know if that housekeeper is specifically assigned to business class, but she was phenomenal.

I'm back to thank you for the question, softballmom3! You got me thinking about BC again, and it's location really couldn't be better, so as we're waiting to book FP+ this evening we checked availability--we can upgrade from a Preferred King to a Standard BC room for 5$/day! That's basically the cost of coffee each morning, basically a no-brainer!

Woo hoo!!! So glad I asked then :). Enjoy!!!!

We were at Coronado this Friday night to Tuesday. It was horrible. The resort itself was beautiful and we loved our room. But the Paul Mitchell Caper Convention was filled with the most rude, self centered young people (and we've been stuck at pop with the cheerleaders once!). I actually emailed the Paul Mitchell company to let them know what an embarrassment their representatives were. We were on magical express back to MCO with them, and they had an actual screaming contest.

My husband and I were there from the 30th-6th and we were SO frustrated by the Caper convention-goers. Not only were they rude, but they were obnoxious and weren't what I would consider to be "Disney friendly." Our bus to Disney Springs on Tuesday night was standing room only, and they were even louder on the bus. I swear, most of those girls were just there to go to the parks and not do anything with the convention. I tried googling the convention to see when it would END, and it was impossible to find online anywhere, which I thought was strange.

The day the left, another convention rolled into town. And while the next one (WGU graduation) wasn't nearly as obnoxious, they did fill up the buses pretty badly (not just Disney Springs--parks too). My husband and I have vowed to never stay at a "convention" hotel again. It's a shame because I'd always liked Coronado before this trip.

For the CSR diehards it was the guarantee of the Cabanas 9B location that got everyone excited about the Business Class booking option. The other perks were just a bonus. The I wouldn't pay extra for a preferred room at CSR, they aren't a prime location like CBR and POR. Business Class however is the premium offering at any of the WDW Mods IMO.

Thats too bad. We've spent 50+ nights at CSR and never had any issue with conventioners. Barely noticed them for the most part. It seem thats the way for 95% of them, but one or two a year are an issue. We are always there over Christmas or close to Christmas. That is probably a good time to stay there as not too many conventions at that time of year.

This makes complete sense to me--9B is in close proximity to everything. it's a great location. when we originally booked there were no BC rooms available, and we figured preferred meant no chance of ranchos, so we took it. happily the availability changed--BC is basically the same price as preferred but a much better value. looking forward to BC stay #2!

That must be Migdalia, she was great. She was our housekeeper when we stayed BC this past December. My daughter's Shellie May Bear would always get into something, like sitting up in bed watching TV while we were gone.

We had a mousekeeper like that at WL a couple years ago.
She always put DGD's stuffies in the cutest arrangements.
Usually the biggest one, a stuffed Pluto had the remote control and he had a gaggle of smaller ones around him

We had one at AKL too--my son brings a stuffed Tigger everywhere with him (what he does not know is that it's no longer the original Tigger, who was lost during a trip a few years ago...but that's a whole 'nother story!), and most nights when we came back, we'd find Tigger either wearing headphones and hanging out on the bed, or crouching on the table watching out the window at the animals, etc. It was fun!

I emailed the Paul Mitchell Company. I suggest you do too, hopefully enough people will.

I have stayed at Coronado in 2011,12,13, and 14. I did not stay here this past November but plan on staying this November. I was just wondering if anyone who had stayed there recently could tell me if they are still using regular plates and silverware instead of plastic and paper plates in the pepper market for quick serve? Thanks

So glad to hear all the positive comments about the Business Club. We just booked it using my daughter's cast member discount for the weekend before we move to our home resort at BWV. The only downside is since they only have king beds, we have an odd man out :rolleyes1

Am I right in thinking that to add a special occasion to my booking that I'm best calling? If so, what is the best number to call?

I'd also like to add it to our California Grill ADR too.
