Hi Everyone!
We are booking our pre-Christmas trip tomorrow morning. We stayed at CSR for our first every family Disney trip in 2008 and did a few nights in 2010. It's been quite some time since we've been there and everyone voted for CSR for our December trip!
We will be booking a standard view room. If I wanted to stay in the Casitas which buildings would I request? I realize a good number of the Casitas buildings are preferred now, but am hoping I can get a standard view in one of the buildings. Part of me wonders if I shouldn't just request one of the Cabanas buildings but we so love the feel of the Casitas. We'd like to be closer to El Centro but it's not a huge deal. We just don't want to stay in Ranchos.

Any suggestions? Thanks!

Casitas 4 is an excellent location.

DH and I will be heading to CSR BC Nov 7-10th. Quick trip, hoping there will be a BB in the room for next May!

Hi everyone! My family will be taking our annual trip to our favorite place on Earth this September (a.k.a Walt Disney World). We have booked a room at csr for this years trip. After many, many years of either camping (my favorite), or value level resorts (usually Pop) we are going to try something new. I am a little nervous about this resort.
The last several years, I have had to utilize a motorized wheelchair during my visits. I have had no problems with this at Pop (even when not staying in a handicap accessible room). However, as I have read through as many of these posts as possible ( on this thread and the ones that proceeded it), I am a tad bit worried that I will face some difficulties in getting to my room, and around the resort in my scooter. We have booked a preferred room, as no handicapped accessible rooms were available.
Does anyone have any advice or experience with this? Also if we are catching the bus by the main building, what number are we as far as stops go? Will I have extended wait times because the wheelchair spots are already being used?

I didn't make an area request because I booked online but I will call and add them closer to the trip.

SO excited! Especially since it's my first time at CSR and first time at WDW! I'm about to burst with excitement and I still have 87 days to go lol.

Hi all - My daughters & I will be staying at CSR for the first time Dec 17-23. It will be our first time here (done all the value, AKL, CR, & CBR).

I always ship a box of food & other things down to avoid bag check fees. I know this is a convention resort, so I will be charged for the box, but will it be at check in? or will I have to go somewhere different to pick it up? I don't mind paying the fee because it will still be cheaper than bag fees. I know at other resorts, we check in, & head to the parks & when we return at night our bags from ME and our shipped box & cases of water are magically in our room

This is us too. We would have gone with POR but we are happily going back to CSR. POR is probably my favourite mod, but CSR is dh's. The nice thing is that even if POR is my favourite I still loved our CSR stay so I don't feel like I am missing out or anything. I looked up pictures of CSR over Christmas and that was what won me over. The lobby looks beautiful. We also always enjoy the Pepper Market (though we haven't been in awhile), and the slide at the Dig Site is my 10 year old sons favourite hands down (and he's stayed at OKW, AKL, Poly, POR, BWV, and WL) so the boy knows his slides.
The only thing I don't like about a winter trip is that you are never sure if you'll get swimming weather. But the parks are beautiful at Christmas time so the trade off is worth it.

We were really planning to go without the dining plan this time, but we were staying in a mod and we couldn't beat the FD discount for our dates. It saves more than a room discount would save us no matter how you look at it.

I am going to a conference and will be staying here is just over a week. This is my first visit this year (I'm a AP and visit often) and my first solo visit ever.

Arriving on May 31 heading home on June 6th.

Wow, all of you December folks are making me a little jealous. We normally go around Thanksgiving but decided to try the fall season this time. I'm really nervous about the heat and humidity of late September/early October but super excited to do MNSSHP and hope we have lower crowds.
