Any news on CSR room refurbs? I have seen bits an pieces on various blogs and room reviews that CM's have indicated a room refurb for CSR has been in the plans since 2015- with room testing to begin in May? Has it begun or will it, has anyone heard?

Oh don't say that! I arrive September 30!

I'm with you we arrive September 2nd. Casitas is our favorite section and last year when we were there they were working on the pool and gym, so that was a bummer. I'd be very disappointed if we couldn't stay in Casitas due to the rehab.

Curious to know about room refurbs too. Would love to try out this resort but I've seen many reviews of dated rooms, bathrooms with stained tubs, mildew in the tile caulking. Guess I should wait a few more years. Love to looks of the grounds, the pools etc but the pictures of the rooms don't do much more me and while I don't spend lots of time in the room, for a peak pricing spring break timeframe I'd prefer a room that was in better shape.

Love the time board. Now I just wish you didn't have to take a bus to Disney springs to get to a water park. Not a big fan of being at a water park all day and then getting on a bus with people dressed to go shopping.

Only for Typhoon Lagoon. CSR will still have the direct shuttle to Blizzard Beach. It was in a second press release.

When I come in November Blizzard Beach will be closed so we have to do Typhoon Lagoon. It is already a long ride to Disney Springs and now to have to change busses to get to the water park is just crazy. I hope they change their mind again before November.

The refurb has been in the plans for a few years, but keeps getting delayed. I did read last month about a test room in Ranchos and Casitas but no pics have surfaced yet.

We stayed at CSR this past November. The bathrooms are dated, but they seem to have maintained them well. The rooms themselves are fairly modern I think. They just need to replace/repair some of the furniture. I wouldn't let these keep you from staying at this great resort. The whole package is worth it.

Given how long CSR has been rumored to be doing refurb any time now, don't believe anything until it is announced or someone takes pictures of it happening.

It was originally scheduled for last year and was pushed to this year. The test rooms are being evaluated now in casita 1 and once they decide, they will be a go. Most likely around the October time frame. Plans and schedules can always change at WDW but this seems to be the way it will pan out.

How long does it typically take? We will be there end of November. With renting a car I wonder if a good room request is a simple refurbished room please?

So chances of getting a refurbed room mid-April is slim as the resort won't even be halfway done?
