If we decided to do breakfast at Boma before hitting AK, would we take the AK bus and then the AKL bus from there? Would they all be running early enough to do a morning ADR like that? I know, otherwise a taxi would be the way to go... Sent from my iPad using DISBoards

I know nothing about buses, but can tell you we drove and had an adr at 7:30 at Boma and made it to AK with 5 minutes to spare for rope drop and were in the second vehicle on the safari.

As I understand it, CSR is the only Disney resort that has dedicated bus service - it does not share with any other resorts.

You will hear over and over again that bus service at CSR is great. We never had issues there at all. We were in Cabanas 9A and used Bus Stop 4. The only time the bus was really full was (of course) after our EPCOT day - coming back. Of course it's gonna be full then!!
;)

I think CBR does as well. We stayed there once in Dec 2008. I found the bus service to be on par with CSR as far as bus frequency, we never waited long to board a bus. However the bus loop through CBR's 7 or 8 stops takes considerably longer than CSR.

I have been stalking the boards for several months, this question has been asked a few times, and there are always folks who post that they used the bus system with no problems for early reservations. The advice is to get out to the bus stops early. I am planning to use the bus for my 8:30 tour at MK in a couple of weeks. I will probably aim get out there around 7:00- 7:10. There are also usually a few folks who say sleep in and take a cab.

Thanks we'll aim for 7ish then :)

Sitting in the BC lounge and wanted to post a review. I am really enjoying business class. Such a great amenity to have.
Sadly though the Maya Grill needs help. The dinner menu was lacking and what I ordered was so salty it wasn't edible. DH didn't care for his any better and we left hungry. On the upside they had a guitar player that was Fantastic and gave the Restaraunt a great atmosphere.

The buses at CSR are great! Never really waited long or were too crowded, unless leaving a park at closing. I loved that we didn't have to stop at any other resort. When leaving a park, lines were usually short. You'd look over to Port Orleans and it was always long!

As for the original question, yes you'd take a bus to AK and at AK a bus to AKL. I would think you'd be able to still do it that early in the morning. I think buses are prepared for early arrivals to parks with breakfast reservations.

We really liked the Maya grill... I got the three amigos enchilada combo and it was it really well done, hubby got the fish special and ate every bit of it. Dd got the kids chicken breast and ate all of it too. Dessert was also really good, we tried different things and shared it all... I don't remember exactly what we got, but we didn't leave any behind. Our problem was it was a wait between being seated and getting chips, then another wait before the food came, and then another wait for dessert... Nothing horrible but it was a 90 minute dinner for us. Even BOG churned us out in about 65 minutes.

We really like the maya grill too. We got the NY strip steak and the San Antonio Fajita Skillet. Both were fantastic! The sangria was good too

Does the pool bar (and/or Laguna Bar) have the sangria?

Yes, Sangria is at all the bars. The pool bar is the one thing ii would change at CSR. It closes at 8:00 and I would love to see it open until 10:00 or 11

I said the same thing on my survey! Especially with the movies playing. We need drinks and snacks
