Also, I prefer the Casitas Section! I usually book preferred and request Casitas 3. Casitas 1, 2, and 3 are considered preferred. Casitas 4 and 5 are considered standard. They are just as fine with me, but you can only request 4 and 5 you are not guaranteed them, as in the case as the preferred rooms. I personally think Casitas 4 and 5 are ideal in btw the lobby and the main pool. Another big deal for us is Casitas 3, 4, and 5 are close to bus stop 2, which is actually the first stop for the buses!!

My trip to CSR is in two weeks and so I've been reading recent reviews. On more than one site, people have mentioned seeing rats?! Yuck! Has anyone seen rats at CSR??!!

Was there in December and NEVER saw rats. The resort was very clean when we were there.

We have never seen rats at CSR!!! We saw an alligator in the lake by the bridge and some beautiful birds but never rats...yuck!!

We have stayed BC several times at CSR and always had very attentive hosts in the lounge. One gentlemen, I forget his name, always remembered us visit to visit and we would always talk and catch up on Disney things. I think he was getting married in the Fall. Last time we there was in July 2014. Going again for 3 nights in the beginning of March and hope the hosts are nice.

I am not a fan of the Pepper Market so will probably eat elsewhere. We always eat breakfast in the lounge and fine it is plenty. Love going to the lounge in the evenings before we head out to dinner to get some apps and drinks.

Hmmm, I thought there were pics of the BC lounge offerings on the first page of this thread but maybe that was another CSR thread. It had great pics!!

We were there at the end of December and again less than two weeks ago. I can honestly tell you that I never saw any rats!

Booked BC room for Nov 5th through 8th for our 15 anniversary!!! This will be our first kidless WDW trip and I will be running in my first 1/2 marathon and DW will be running her first 5k!! Super excited!

BOOKED!

October 28-Nov 4 in BC. I wanted to have it Done since my conference rate won't be available to book until July and I want to make sure I can schedule ADRs in one swoop. Plus, I'm reasonably sure the block of rooms is for the preferred section since I couldn't book those rooms for the actual days of the conference.

Now, to wait for fall offers to see if we are going to do a split stay with a monorail resort. And for MNSSHP tickets to get released. Woot!

Booked 2 BC rooms (connecting) week after thanksgiving! Not sure the kids will be as thrilled as they were about the pirate rooms, but DH and I will love the location and im sure the kids will appreciate the lounge too!!

Good luck on connecting unless bc is different. We have got connecting rooms once out of about ten trips
See what happens this time around too

We are going to CSR for the very first time and very first on site stay the week of April 20th. I did lots of reviews of various resorts and felt it was the best fit. We will have our own vehicle. We would like to be in a room that is an easy walk to the dig. Should I pick 8a or 8b area? I don't need a view but would like a quiet room. How soon should I call to request this room? Also what would be the earliest time of day we can start using the pool? Plus online check in is foreign to me. Do I do this using my disney account where I booked our room?

Hello,
So after tons of research and hopes of free dining, we will be returning this fall for another vacation. After two years at WL, we need to do a moderate to be able to afford the trip again. I have done a ton of research between CBR and CSR figuring they may exclude POR again. We usually go the last week of Oct into Nov, but need to go the week of Nov 9 this time and I am keeping my fingers crossed. Our group is my parents, my husband and I and our girls who will be almost 5 and 6.

I have only ever stayed at the Contmeporary, AKL and WL so I am thinking CSR will be a nice fit and I am thinking Business class is a good option as we would be close to the main building and have access to breakfast foods. I am willing to pay a little more to be close to the main building and the rest is breakfast cost. It seems like a no brainer. My First question is, are children ever in the lounge? I know it is a conference resort. Many people say this, but my girls are well behaved, especially for the quick breakfast we would eat there. They would walk in at night maybe for a drink and coffee.

My second question is, do they have bottled water at breakfast time? What about soda (my dad drinks soda, not coffee). If they do not, would they get it for you? We usually order a ton of water with our Garden Grocer order, but if we do business class, we will not need GG.

My third question is can you take your breakfast back to your room.

Next, if my friend comes by who lives in Orlando, can we sit in there at night if I pay for her drinks, which would most likely be a water.

My last question is what number bus stop would we be, we have a huge stroller. Also, are there elevators or do we need to request ground level, I really did not want ground level.

Thanks! I am really excited to try somewhere new. Sorry for the abundance of questions! We have never done club level, our only experience was a free breakfast there after being the flag family at WL.

We are staying at Corondo Springs 2/17 through 2/22. I just got an email from Disney saying the main pool will be closed for refurb. This is the first we have heard of this and it makes my family very upset, a major part of why we chose this resort was the pool. Does anybody know if this is true? If this is true is there anyway Disney would give us some kind of discount on a room in another resort such as wilderness lodge or animal kingdom?

They will not give you a discount somewhere else, but they may give you some money off each night and water park passes. We were at WL during the pool refurb and booked before it was announced. We got $50 off a night and free BB passes. Now, it is almost double the price per night, so go in thinking $25 might be good. Call and complain stressing the pool is the reason you stay there. However, it was better swimming weather during the WL refurb.

Yes, Children are allowed in the lounge.

No water bottles. There were discontinued about a year and a half ago. You can ask for soda in the morning, it is not out. Just juice and milk, coffee/tea.

Yes, you can take breakfast back to your room.

You do not pay for drinks in the lounge. Your friend can obtain a 3 hour parking pass for the resort.

The closest bus stop to BC is picked up last. You might want to tresk over to Casistas to make sure you get a spot with your stroller. By the time it gets around you might be standing room

We had "guaranteed connecting rooms for families" at the sold out CBR last sept/oct. I'm nervous about it slightly too as I know everyone on DIS reminds me even if my reservation says 'guaranteed' it isn't. I know they try hard for families of young children who outnumber their parents.

Thank you so much for the response! Children are allowed, but will we get dirty looks? Thanks!
