When we get home I'll try to figure out how to upload some pictures.
We are loving it & even rearranging our schedule some as we go to work in more resort time so we can enjoy our fancy lodging!

All booked for oct 30-nov 14 2015
I'm so excited. It's our first time staying in a mod.:dance3:
I'm hoping for FD but will take whatever
Does anyone know , I booked room and tickets, if FD is offered do I need to cancel mY existing ressie and make a new one or do they just add it on to my existing one?

Is 363 days till check in too many to count down???? Just booked BC for 12/12/15 - 12/20/15. Our 2nd trip to Disney from Aus. Last year we stayed at POP, but wanted to try a Moderate this time. A little excited.....

I started my planning and countdown at 1096 days - who am I to judge? We fly from Korea TOMORROW!! :dance3:

I am 266 days out from my first stay @ CSR. I have stayed at AKL and POFQ x 5. I wanted to try another moderate resort. Right now, it is going to be just DH and I. I read through most of this thread and seem to think I made a good decision in choosing CSR over CBR. I think it may be more adult "friendly" and with all the amenities, I hope to LOVE it!

I would love any advice and hints/tips on staying here. I have booked a standard view, but I may change it. I booked under a bounce back offer from September.

Thanks all!

We're checking out tomorrow morning and have 12 sealed Nestle water bottles. PM me if interested. I'll only respond to the first PM. I'll send you our room number and I'll leave it outside our room door by 9 am.

We had a wonderful stay in Casitas ... Really great location near bus stop 2.

We checked in yesterday. We were originally given a ground level room but were switched to an upper level room after I asked (I absolutely hate ground level anywhere). New room wasn't ready which I understood given both the time, 11:15a, and my request to change. We checked our bags with bell services and off to DTD we went.

Room was ready by 1:00p and we were quite happy to get a lake view :). Our room was in very good shape and very clean. We headed to the business class lounge this morning and the offerings were perfect for us...very glad we booked BC. We are also finding that we like the cabanas section over casitas, where we stayed back in '09...much quieter, more convenient location and very peaceful.

Crowds have been a lot lighter than we expected too and the weather has been great! So far, so good and I have to say that all the CM's we've interacted with here have been great :goodvibes.

We loved the Cabanas section, too!

I have a waterview room booked for last week in January and want to stay in Casitas 4 to swim in the lap pool. I just want to be somewhat near the pool not necessarily right by it. Are the best waterview rooms facing the lake (which is somewhat far of) or the pool? I want a very sunny room too without a bunch of trees or concrete archways blocking the light. Anyone who has stayed there in the dark of winter please advise!

Sorry this is SO late- been in the post-Disney blues state since we got back!

We had a truly wonderful stay at Coronado Springs from 11/30-12/6. I loved it there. The few other guests we saw always chatted with us at the bars, which is always nice. The resort is HUGE, and I loved grabbing a beer and just walking around the whole place!

We were in Casitas 4, and unfortunately the quiet pool was closed for pretty much our entire stay. We did head to the Dig Site a few times; partner was able to use the water slide, which is all he wanted the whole trip, haha.

Bus Stop 2 was maybe a two minute walk from us- I don't think I'd want to stay anywhere else! Crowds were very light waiting for buses- I would say the most we ever saw waiting at stop 2 is 10, and that might be an exaggeration! We also never had a problem with the bus service. Never waited more than maybe 10 minutes. The bus route went to stop 2 first, then 3,4,1.

The Pop Warner families started showing up around Wednesday- but we barely saw them! And they were never rude at the resorts or the parks. The later the week got, the busier the parks were (of course). Never an issue.

Food: Maya Grill, I really liked! Thought it was better than what most people were saying, to be honest. And the coconut flan was delicious! PM was average at best- typical hotel food. Best thing I had there was a double chocolate cake.

Never had an issue with any staff. Only issue I had come up was with our garden grocer order. They wouldn't deliver it to our room for some reason, so I had to carry it from Bell Services to Casitas 4- pretty long walk with our carryon bags, a case of water, and the rest of our order!

Overall, I absolutely loved this resort, and I will definitely stay here again! Thanks to everyone here who answered any of my questions and helped me out when planning; this board was a huge help! I'm happy to answer any questions other newbies may have :)

I'm already trying to convince my partner we should head back for Star Wars Weekends in 2015 :goodvibes

Did you ask why the pool was closed? I've requested casitas 4 also and would hate to have it closed since that's one of big reasons I want to stay there. I'll be there the last week in Jan. its really hard to get any info on quiet pool closures from Disney.
As for garden grocer, that doesn't surprise me. If ME is delivering your luggage then they don't want to just carry up a grocery order. I've always gotten my bags at bag claim, and then they are happy (for a tip) to bring the garden grocer order, your large bags, carry-ons and anything else you want to load up on their gator.
Just a tip-if you order gluten free bread its stored in the freezer, and they may miss that when they get your order out of the cooler.

It was closed for some sort of refurbishment. Never saw much going on, though!

Casitas 4 quiet pool is open now.

Last 2 years I have had Bell serivices bring just our Garden Grocer order to our room. There were no issues or talk of not doing it.

Yeah, the quiet pool was just closed 12/1-12/5. I should've specified, sorry.

As for my garden grocer order... I don't have an answer or reason why they made me bring it to my room myself. Wasn't a big deal and certainly didn't ruin my stay.

Just got back from staying at Coronado from 12/13 - 12/20. Everything was perfect. Mousekeeping was the best of any moderate resort I have stayed in. We were in the Rancho section and I loved the theme/landscaping.

I ate at the food court twice and both times it was very good. Huge portions like most places.

I would definitely stay there again!

Yeah, that's weird. Not sure why they told you that. Small order maybe? Our order included 4 cases of water so there's no way I could carry it all in one trip.

I tried to read thru this thread but its really long!
Can anyone tell me what sections are standard view rooms?
TIA

Here is a great website (touring plans) for that. Just click on the building then enter your room type on the left column as standard-king or standard-queen beds. It will show all the standard rooms shaded in. Almost every building has a selection of standard and waterview rooms.
The only buildings that are preferred only with no standard rooms would be casitas 1-2-3 and cabanas 9B.
