If you are going to the first show, just return to MK and catch your bus back to the resort. If going to the second or third show, there will be buses right beside Pioneer Hall that will take you back. You will share this bus with other resorts, though, just like on the ME buses.

I guess I am just going to keep my fingers crossed. We are not using DME and when I checked in online I noted that we were not planning on checking out until 3pm (even though I know checkout is 11am). We have plans to hit AK that morning and our fast passes will keep us busy until 1pm. Would really like to not have to check out before heading to the park. Hopefully we'll be one of the lucky ones

From my experience, a check out request after 3:00 pm will not be complimentary.

The one time I checked out that late, I had a literally 1 yr old - turn one that day.
I explained I wanted a room for naps/changing whatever and they said I could keep the room for half price.
I agreed BUT when I went to check out the manager waived the fee all together.

Exactly, and to be honest it wouldn't have been such a big deal for us to have changed rooms on day 15 of a 16 day stay had they not assured us, twice (once at checkin and again the night before the 15th day by voice mail), that we would not have to do so.

But then 7:30am on day 15: Surprise!

We checked in last night and they have assured us we won't have to change rooms. Hopefully they don't change that like they did to you. I actually brought up your experience at the front desk and the CM said because it was the Business Class building it was easier for them to do this.

They are some new evening offerings in the BC lounge. There is some cole cuts type stuff they put out at 5pm, but they only replenish it until around 7pm. They have also added fresh baked homemade cookies which are very good! The Chips and pretzel remain as well. They have added Corona to the beer selection, they didn't have that last year when we were here.

If you don't mind, could you post how your late check in goes? We will be checking in around that time in January and I am a little concerned that we won't be able to get the type of room we requested because they will be gone by that time of night. Thanks in advance.

I'd stop by the concierge desk when someone else is there and try again. They can do it. The person you asked may not have known how, but they can do it. I think there is an influx of newer staff at CSR right now that find it easier to say something can't be done than to find someone who knows how. I saw several examples of that last week and the week before.

We didn't bother going back to concierge about it. We just went to Guest Relations outside MK yesterday morning and they did it without batting an eye.

Thanks so much! Do you think the later arrival is why you didn't get yur requested room? The convention people are usually at the Casitas right?

That could be a possibility, but this does put us closer to the first bus pick up! This is a HUGE resort!

Here now and it's gorgeous! Wanted to report that Las Ventanas has many gluten-free options, including GF bread so they can make any of the sandwiches GF. They also have a separate fryer to cook the potatoes in safely for those with a gluten allergy.

Also, the cheerleaders are everywhere but have been quiet and very polite. We requested and were put in Casitas. There was a corporate Christmas party here last night that took up a lot of parking and was very loud heading home in the wee hours!

She said she did indeed have a cordial, HOWEVER, it wasn't from the BC lounge as my nephew thought. She said she actually brought it in from one of the other lounges and just let him think it came from there...according to her, he didn't ask so she didn't tell . Good thing he's not on these boards .

Package transfer went without a hitch. No one bugged us to change rooms. Went to the front around noon to make sure the Magic Bands were setup properly for our package. There was a huge lineup to check in, I politely asked at the Concierge desk and they glady helped me out. Only took about 3 mins.

I was reading the thread here the last couple days about rude CM's at CSR, etc. I just don't get it. I've counted that I've interacted with 16 different CM's here so far in 2 days. I've received good pleasant service from each one. I really truly believe some people bring bad service/experiences on them selves with their own way of interacting. Service is great for us here just like our 3 previous stays.

Haven't really noticed the cheerleaders too much around the Cabanas area, nice and quiet over here.

I believe that is a misprint that should be 5/18/2015-6/19/2015.

We're here now and it's open. Being the only Mod with a Fitness Center is one of the reasons we stay here.

I was reading the thread here the last couple days about rude CM's at CSR, etc. I just don't get it. I've counted that I've interacted with 16 different CM's here so far in 2 days. I've received good pleasant service from each one. I really truly believe some people bring bad service/experiences on them selves with their own way of interacting. Service is great for us here just like our 3 previous stays.

I'm glad someone else said this because I've been thinking it for a while... Treat people like you'd want to be treated....enjoy your vaca
