Is the only way from CR to DHS a bus? Would there be another option?

If you have an AP or Hopper ticket, you can monorail it over to Epcot. Walk through Epcot and take the Skyliner but you would lose a lot of time. The bus is the quickest form of free transportation to DHS for CR.

Does anyone know when the electric water parade comes by for Contemporary? we always seem to miss it. We'll be there this weekend.

For fireworks views at Bay Lake Tower, how loud are the fireworks inside the room? We booked a studio and I would love to watch the fireworks on the balcony each night, but I'm worried it'll be too loud for our toddlers to sleep through and it'll scare them.

Does Contemporary have airport luggage transfer? I know we used to be able to turn in luggage at bell services and pick up off carousel when we got home. It looks like Disney has started up something similar, but not this hotel, yet??

No it has returned to any resort beyond the Value resorts:

Disney Vacation Club Hosting Valentine’s Day Event at Disney’s Contemporary Resort​

A Disney Vacation Club Members-exclusive Valentine’s Day event will take place at Disney’s Contemporary Resort on four dates in early February.

The event will include special character meet and greets and Valentine’s Day treats.

It will be in the Fantasia Ballroom West Salons and Pastorals at the Contemporary Resort’s convention center from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on February 2, 3, 9, and 10, 2026.

Registration is not required but Members can only attend one event and must have a qualifying reservation at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel or Disney’s Vero Beach Resort on their chosen event date. Members can bring up to four guests or the number of guests on their resort reservation.

It's so loud that it sets off car alarms. Inside with the balcony doors closed, it's still pretty loud especially the big finale.

Coolest part of the Contemporary is the monorail passing through and getting a peek at everyone eating at Chef Mickey's hahaha. Reminds me of the Skytrain in Vancouver going through Metrotown station

Very loud to me. I had a studio facing the parking lot around floor 3 near the middle of the building, not a chance of sleeping through the noise even though I didn’t have a fireworks view.

Do they sleep to a noise maker? Might be your only chance and even then it’s not that great…

Just booked a four night trip for my 13 year old son and myself this August in a Bay Lake Tower studio! He's so excited! He has wanted to stay at the Contemporary resort for as long as he can remember. We normally travel as a family of five, and cramming into one standard room has never been on the table, and the DVC studios only sleep four anyway. Looking forward to experiencing all the Contemporary has to offer!

This is great information. We're seriously considering a stay at BLT for the walkability to MK, but this is a little concerning to me. I was hoping it wouldn't be an issue if getting a room without a view of the fireworks.

All kids are different and everyone's perception of 'volume' can be subjective of course, but my kids can sleep through anything - fireworks, blasting Electrical Water Pageant volume, etc. We never thought twice about the noise from any of the MK resorts.

Although I will note you can see some variability in how "loud" fireworks are depending on the weather and wind direction. Cooler weather and wind blowing towards CR and it can feel noticeably louder. High humidity or wind blowing the other direction can lessen the volume level a tad.

I’ve never stayed at BLT, just CR, so it is a tiny bit further from the fireworks, but I’ve never had a problem with noise from fireworks if we were on the lakeside of the tower. You do tend to hear the booms on the theme park side, but different kids (people) can sleep through different things so ho disruptive they are can vary. I will say that at 10 pm the noise of the electrical water pageant (music) travels up to the lakeside view rooms in CR. The BLT might be a little further from the spot on the lake where it parks. Generally a white app or something mitigates most of the noise.
