Upcoming trip, we'll likely have some time to kill while waiting for our room to be ready on check-in day. We'll have some little/tiny ones in our group that will be needing a place to nap while we're waiting. It looks like there may be an area suitable for that on the Lobby/check-in level? Is there a different area/level more suitable?

There is more space on the 4th Floor North side of the resort to find more space vs the limited space on the 1st floor.

Additionally the 2-3rd floors(Convention meeting rooms) can be very quite if events are not in session.

It always depends on how busy it is at the time, the ground floor lobby may be fine, but if you take the escalator up from the ground floor, there is usually a quiet spot where people can sit/rest, charge phone, etc... with less noise/people.

Thanks for that. Not real familiar with the layout. Is the 4th floor the same floor as the Contempo Cafe and the large merchandise store?

Yes the 4th floor aka the Concourse is where Chief Mickey's, Contempo Cafe on the south side of the building.

The north side of the building past the merchandise store and near the Fantasia market has quite a bit of seating and is quite cool on hot days to relax.

6th floor through the 11th floor in the Tower building. 12th floor is where the club level rooms are located, there are Magic Kingdom view club level rooms available.

Refurbishment Projects Beginning at Contemporary Resort Next Week​

From Tuesday, September 27 to Thursday, September 29, refurbishment will take place in the common areas of the 12th floor of Disney’s Contemporary Resort. Guests will see and hear refurbishment work throughout the resort’s main tower atrium during daytime hours, typically between 10:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Some elevators will be out of service while this work is completed, but all walkways will remain open.

Is there a fireworks viewing deck other than California Grill? We couldn't get reservations but we did get Steakhouse 71. Before dinner we were hoping we could see the fireworks from somewhere.

There is the deck on the 4th floor. There are a few benches out there and you can typically hear the piped in music from Cali grill.

Carpet Replacement Project to Impact Select Areas of Disney’s Contemporary Resort on Oct. 3-4​

On Monday, October 3 and Tuesday, October 4, refurbishment work will take place in the common areas of the 12th floor at Disney's Contemporary Resort. During that time, crews will be replacing the carpet in certain areas of that floor, and no Guest rooms will be impacted.

Guests will see and hear refurbishment work throughout the resort's main tower atrium during daytime hours, typically from 10:30 a.m.-5 p.m. Some elevators will be out of service while this work is completed, but all walkways will remain open and available to Guests.
